Hai i am playing this game for 2 weeks and i can say that it is superb if you like diablo then you'll love this game come check it out http://www.torchlightgame.com/media/

Meh, too cartoonish for me. I'll stick to Diablo even this was made from the same people who made Diablo...

No multiplayer unless they changed it.. not really interested.

I've tried it, it's quite addicting and fun even for it's size which is around 400mb.

though I kind of cheated because I can gamble for good items
Just make money and buy the gambler's items for unique sets then use enchanter to make super items (5k damage bow rocks ^^) you can run through the game and 1 hit most of the mobs

I put a summon spell and a heal all spell on my pet though, works best for me.

i got this on the recommendation from a friend and absolutely love it.

I was skeptical at first, but its actually really fun, worth playing

Seems to get boring after a little while. You pretty much do the same things all over again.
Its either that or my crappy mouse.

i am having problems getting mods to work, ill see if i resolve this later.

my mods just work fine (love epic boss map with my wizard )

I don't think you need, but after completing the game mods are fun. Not sure.

If you liked Diablo 1 and 2, you'll actually like Torchlight, possibly more than the upcoming Diablo 3.

There is no online right now, the game took 11 months to develop and release. They had such short time since they were working on a previous action RPG, but had to give it up when Flagship Studios went down.

They will be releasing an online MMO within in the same Torchlight world about a year from now. I personally would bet Torchlight MMO will be released before Diablo 3 also.

If you look up the current staff working on Diablo 3, you may notice, almost no one, if any staff that made Diablo 1 or 2 are working on it.

If you look at Torchlight, it has almost all the people that made Dibalo 1 and 2, even including the composer for the music.

For $20, would be a shame to not give it a try if you are a Diablo fan. You're going to wait at least another year for Diablo 3 anyhow, what have you to lose?

And yes mods. You don't need them. But Torchlight staff released mod kits to support the community. Players will be able to create their own maps and so on. I think it will be interesting to see what people come up with. Also the few who played and liked it are not the only ones. Every review pretty much says, forget waiting for Diablo 3 and play the game the original Diablo creators have come up with. Most fun some of these reviewers have had since Diablo 2 for an RPG game. Those are very bold statements.

ohhhh shit, i played Mythos (the Flagship Game) back when it was in closed beta. it was ok, but torchlight is MUCH better and more fun to play.

I have a Lore Alchemist, game is enjoyable, close to level 10 at the moment.

i wanted to share this ... i think that with the new patch/changes to enchanting they destroyed the end game of this game, so ya gg ( game is no longer in my pc, hasnt been for weeks ).

This game is... not as bad as i thought it would be.
Actually it quite fun, but i thought i would suck at it because i never played Diablo.
It feels like ToD... Without the seven samurai party xD (But that game was also made by people who worked on Diablo)
