some1 was explaining to me about addons for wow...
im just asking is that like 3rd party programs for sro?

if u cant do it normally in game.. u shouldnt be allowed addons to do it for u no?

blizzard supports the creation of addons for its game by making the lua language availible for the creators, while for sro you need a stand alone program to interact with the game and even someone that is using the base code for sro is stil illegal as the files are closed and not meant to be accessed

hell even blizzard uses addons its self for the main game if you look in the addon folder after a fresh install you can see some basic functions

blizzard does have limitations, nothing automatic can be used amungst other limitations

The addons are just another part of wow. It streamlines gameplay and isnt anything like a bot.. Though WoW does have its fair share of bots... lol

Think of them as add-ons like in firefox.

Most of the useful addons take whatever that's already available in game and presents them in a much better way. For example, without any addons, you can track the amount of damage you're dealing on a mob by just adding up the numbers you see that pop up. It's a very tedious process that hardly anyone would want to do for each mob or boss. There are addons that take advantage of this information and can do the calculations for you, and can even compare your DPS to other people, be it on the same party, or on the same raid group.
