Looking forward to this game. It's a cell-shaded role playing shooter. It has 87 bazillion different guns
It is set on a distant planet I think and the main goal is to loot, not too much info has been released
anyway a vid to convince you all to buy the game this fall. Hoping for something remotely similar to Fallout 3

it has 4 player online co-op for sure, don't know about 'normal' online

Which style do you like better, the e3 '08 realistic style graphics or the e3 '09 cell-shaded they switched to.
At first I didn't like the switch, but now I think the cell-shaded style really suites the game.
I think the new style really sets the game apart from every other release this fall

Yeah the cell-shading is a nice change, it won't look like every other generic shooter

Hmm this would be incredibly awesome if it was like a mmofps or something like that

yeah like an open lawless planet where everyone just has to loot whatever there is. Survival of the fittest.
I'm really interested in the story though, not much has been revealed about it

For some reason it reminds me of Half Life2.

Damn, so many games to get this fall, but only so much money for them

Just got this a few days ago....it's very very fun.
Coolest gun I've found so far was a rapid-fire pistol that lights people on fire.

Totally forgot that its out, gonna get it ASAP

single player is kinda lonely, haven't tried coop yet, don't really know how the game balances when there's 1 lvl20 and 1 lvl5 player together...

So to sum it up ... It's an first person shooter with quests ? "Missions" i mean
And it had a badass female character, don't know any FPS's with that ... I just might get it.

But i'm no "pro" at these kinds of games =\

just finished the game in a week , the ending is bad like a big anticlimax.
However if you leave out the ending the story is good, quests are good and the looting is fun.
Overall i'd call it one of the better games this year

I can't wait for tomorrow!

think about a regular RPG, except you fight mobs by shooting at them in first person view. the concept is similar to fallout3, but the difference is that borderlands plays like a FPS with RPG elements added on, whereas fallout3 plays like an RPG with FPS elements added on. borderlands has much better gun handling.

I've been thinking of getting this but im not convinced yet... My friend said it's like WoW and CSS rolled into one. 2 games i like, but do I really want them in the same game?

Also the graphics look very cartoony which is never something that appealed to me.

fallout3's shooting part handles differently from your regular CS/COD-style FPS.
