Need some good strategies games!

I had a weird dream today that i was inside of a strategy game xD
I was like the leader of my team "playing" against my friend but he was owning me. Then, i noticed i still had a last group of Bowers and some swordmans on the other field (near with a supply terrain -like the gold of the game-). He tried to own my last group but i have sooo many bowers that i made him retreat from the field xD lawl

Yeah, please. Suggest me some good real time Strategies games! Medieval or Futurist.

Age of Empires II & III (good AI, though uses cheating at higher levels (starts with extra recources, bigger deck etc))
Warcraft III (evil AI)
Starcraft (semi-evil AI)
Empire Earth (<--- AI is nearly impossible to win from, it's even worse than warcraft)
Tzar (evil AI)
The Settlers herritage of kings (very nice game, quite a change from the avarage RTS, dunno about the AI)
Star Wars: the galactic battlegrounds (Age2 clone)
Age of Mythology (good AI, very nice story (<3 Arkantos :3))

mhhh yeah...that's all the rts I've got installed
you also try Age of Empires I (evil AI)...

the difficutly of the AI and how fun it is to play.

for me age of empires II and III and Age of Mytholgy have the perfect AI.
starcraft's is pretty hard, but winning is still possible (though you'd often have to do rushjobs).
warcraft is nearly impossible to win against.
And I have never in my life seen anyone win against Empire Earth's AI...EVER. it takes over the whole map in 30 minutes. it controls all armies simultaniously (and considering the pop cap is 1200 units, that's alot of units) and somehow it manages to keep it's economy up even though resource collection is horrible in the game and you can only put 6 people on 1 resource spot (which btw holds 300 million of each resource (in comparrisom 1 units is say 60 food, 40 gold)).

or maybe it's just me and all people around me sucking -.-

oh btw, if you wanna do archer spam i'd personaly suggest Age2.
play as the chinese and make a shitload of chu-ko-nu form your castle >8D
or if you want high powered archers but slower go british. a fully upgraded longbowman has a higher range than castles :O

Lawl playing against SC an WC3 AI werent so hard for me. Only playing against AI on hard mode is kind of challenging in WC3 thought. Also nice list i might have to try some of those games there.

well since age's AI was perfect for me i compare most of them with it. SC's is harder though I've managed to win from it once.

warcraft's strategy game mode doesn't really entertain me, so I never really bothered playing seriously. but me, Draquish and 0l3n tried doing a 3v1 or 3v2 on the computer on hard and it took forever to win D:
anyway I keep it mainly for DotA, because the game shines as an rpg.
though most people seem to like Wc's strategy as well...

And yeah, WC3 AI was even hard for me on easy on the very first map lol!
i'd prefer just dota as you said as a shiny rpg.

Savage 2 (This game is rts fps rpg... basically you can make a base but you dont make creatures cause they are actual players as your creatures. you can build defense and stuff and theres a zombie mode of the game thats pretty tight.) check it out

yeah it's pretty small (i think the game was from around 2000~2002), though make sure to get the conquerors expansion no matter what. It features lots of new civs and a few pretty usefull upgrades. You can also get some extra fun by loading an age2 campaign game through the conquerors expansion and play it with extra units that wouldnt be available normaly xD

If you have the decent pc:
Warhammer Series, it counts as futuristic(40k) and medieval(MoC).
Spellforce 2
Total War Series
Command And Conquer 3, it has a decent AI that'll keep you busy for weeks.

If not:
Warcraft 3 + AMAI(from Wc3.net) is fun, it actually plays on the "pro" level if set to "insane".

I always liked Age of Empires III and Rise of Nations. Empire TW is a great game also.
