I've always played americas army, and it is a fun game. 3 looks good, and my couisin who played the beta said it was alright graphic wise.
for those who dont know, it is FTP. i recommend it for those who havnt played before, cause gameplay is nice and such.

To preload the game and play it when its released, go into steam>stores>search for America's army and itll be there.

lul.. Use to play AA when I was like, 13. It is pretty good, but I don't like the fact that you don't respawn.. of course, that makes it a lot more realistic, and I didn't mind it then.. but played it again this year and didn't like it as much. I might check out 3, though. oh and one other thing.. footsteps were way too loud. Anyone with decent sound could pre-frag/flash anyone, that was kind of gee

yeah, you could easily hear footsteps lol.

and sometimes it a round does last long, so try to survive longer

got it preloaded since 6 days ago i doubt ill play it for real though.

Its rather fun, just finished playing it some. The gun mechanics are good. Movements, still servers have a weird lag. Also hitting your target seems to be iffy and you can take a lot more bullets than before. The medic part is interesting, having to go up to them when they are down to see whats wrong, and use the proper technique to heal them. Rather fun though, how you can use cover is interesting too. The guns are models well and the sounds are really good. Hopefully there will be more addons to the weapons, there is a left, right and bottom rail that you can use but nothing to select yet. Some of the missions are screwed, like the VIP...the team that has the VIP is really close to the drop off point, so when it starts 90% of the time they can just run to it and finish the map without a shot fired. But it is a fun game, does do better than the AA2.

arent there vehicles on aa3?

anyways I didn't really like the no-spawn and I lagged like a bitch on aa2 but only because my computers old

it's been kinda broken since the server doesn't work.

Its a hit and miss. You can do some training but it wont update then, and most likely will freeze at some point. Sometimes it wont update your jacket while your playing and it will show you never did training, but come on in a few hours and its finished. But for me, that happened, and when i click the next training mission game just locks up. Hopefully it will get fixed soon...it is a fun game.

damn i suck at AA lol i always stick to the closest guy that i spawn with and just run around with him around the map never killed a guy

Yeah theres a bug fest in the game right now, you cant do certain things like training, or even joining a server, well at least for me. Hopefully they'll patch things up soon so we can play peacefully

Update: THERE HAS BEEN A PATCH RELEASED.

To my knowledge, it appears to fix some bugs, like in the training, it saves now. Info from my couisin. I havnt played it yet myself, but hope to in a few. Hopfully everything will get fixed soon

training all works, and ive got my ACOG scope training done. Only complaint is that the game went from having great graphics in AA2 to being very cartoonish in AA3. The medic and support classes have been improved, but the graphics have just killed it for me.

Also, the maps have all been redone, the layout is the same for the most part, but the annoying quirks have been somewhat ironed out. For example, there are now multiple paths to take from the bridge to the ojective in the Bridge level.

No matter how good it is, i still can't get past the graphics.

lol what...Sorry but Unreal 3 isnt cartoonish...and AA2 graphics were all flat. But it still freezes on training for most

umm... i was talking about AA3. Compared to AA2, the graphics seem nicer in a "family friendly" sort of way. In AA2, there was at least an attempt to make the game look realistic whereas in AA3, even the cut scenes are cartoons/sketches.

IMO, the graphics suck.

lol no they added more colours to everything making it more realistic but mushy at the same time. same thing happend with socom2 and 3.

Yeah cause loading screens are a major importance to gameplay...and in game graphics...

a lot of server and game glitches.

Graphics look like shit.

Graphic imo are a downgrade from the first, I loved the first one We cannot do training now, and i found a solution that lets me play without freezing trying to get in a server.

Well the new update helped alot. Not having any freezes at all now, and it runs smooth.

yeah' i play it all the time now, without having to delete any files

how do you switch the grenade launcher's fire mode?

i can switch from rifle to GL fine, i can also switch between single and burst for rifle fine, but the fire mode switch key doesn't work when i want to switch the safety of GL off.

if you mean change the types of GL ammo, hold H. A little rose will show up with the grenades on it
