The game is fun Pvp wise, but its really really grind heavy, if you don't like mindless grinding don't play it.

it's indeed a grind-based game. and leveling was
very slow imo. idk, i had it installed like 3 times,
and each time it entertained me up to like 2 weeks.
i do have to say that it's the best mecha mmorpg i've
played. way better than things like age of armor etc.
especially graphics wise.

first couple levels are fast, but like said before,
it turns into a grindfest pretty quickly.

ya the first few levels are ok, but anything pass lvl 20 become a real drag, for some reason I would choose the sro grind any day over the RF grind. Mainly because of the maps I think, Rf grind just seems 5x more boring than sro grind due to the vast and endless flat landscape, and you run hella slow if you're not buffed by others (depending on class of course). In terms of skills you gotta level them by using them, so its especially troublesome for levelling buffs. But yes, as cin was saying the graphics arn't bad at all, its actually real nice if you are a striker huhuhu. PvP Imo is fun, but laggy as hell when there's the big middle war thingie I don't remember.

but if you can endure the grind to the cap, it should be a fun game

edit: forgot, you can actaully get accelerators to run faster, but they're hella expensive

If we are talking about official playrf.com which is x3
Its not much of a grindfest to get to lvl 51 took me about 2 month of playing and its considered very high level , 55 is the max.

Anyways if we talking about pvp , this game has to be most PVPtic game i ever played - you encounter 2 races on mass battlefield much strategy involved , every week race votes for race leaders and archons (im currently race leader on cora side ,Dahin server )
Anyways what really annoys me is that , mobs are really , i mean REALLY hard.. This is not a solo game without proper groups u wont level , and wont win too.

Much money farming is needed to afford the high end gear , archon set on 50 lvl worth 680m , which took me to farm 2 weeks nonstop >,<

all in all , if you dont have alot - ALOTT of time dont start it , youll get sucked into hard when u get to stuff like robot riding raiding whole races and what not , but not only it requires you to play it for so long to archive something , you also cant just leave in middle of doing something cause once you do the same exping party will die due to lack of damage or lack of tanks ...
Without a good tank/puller u wont level cause high level mobs will be 1 hitting you , and soloing them is possible with very few classes in which ull have to be really pro to use it right :p as whenever u die expect 0-90% loss :)

after playing sro, very few games compare to the quality of the game during the 60 and 70 cap.

RF online is good for the first few levels but it gets old pretty fast when you stop leveling up
