I've seen a few videos of like game footage, and some of the video quality is amazing. Is there some sort of program or something people do it with, or do they do it with some fancy camera?

I dunno but I think you can take the vids from your xbox through that windows media centre blabla...Goes like that with halo I think, not sure about other games >.<

Capture Card. I think you can get them at Radioshack or something like that. Google them for more info, but I do know some can get expensive.

Try Dazzle.

yeah, capture card. you can get a decent one for like 50-75 dollars. there's internal and external's.. the externals are cheaper. that's the basics

personally i have an internal that i never really put to use. oh well, it was a gift anyway.
i also agree with ruyi, go with dazzle. pretty cheap for some pretty good quality. best way to go imo.

I use a Dazzle DVC100, an external one i got for maybe 50ish dollars. Has real nice quality.

Sheesh, I gotta pay to capture video from my xbox? I thought I could get some sort of cheap plugin from marketplace for Microsoft points

Damn how wrong I was...These people sure wants to make vids then, paying 50 bucks or more for some capturing device.

I think some people use their DVD player to record it...not sure how to do it though.

set you dvd revorder to AV then you should be able to ..... im gona try it
