ok so cod4 takes roughly 10 hours to download at 256kbps

no i want to know if that 256k is connection speed or download speed?

cause if its download speed im fked
but if its connection it will be about 3 hours for me

(i have a feeling its download speed)

also can you stop the dl turn ur comp off and resume it with steam the next time you turn your pc on?

and will it be downloaded as far as you got previously?

i need this answered asap

that site is FAIL. sometimes it says i have a 128mb video card and sometimes it says i have a 256mb video card.

Nope. That is not a good graphics card at all. You may be able to run it but you will get 1 fps or so with 800x600 lowest settings.

k then so cod4 is out for me, what good fps games that are multi player can i get with steam?

btw i turned of all the advanced features on vista so it runs faster and better then when i had xp on this

btw i know someone who plays cod4 with vista and has a geforce 6600 and he gets 80 fps in game and has 256mb vid memory so i was thinking what the guy above me said that i would get 1 fps in game was a lie? or just exaggerating?

Its not gonna be 256kb.. its probly gonna be around 30kb a sec.

And if you want to pause your dl, use a download manager.


Anyways, even after people told you its not going to run smooth your still gonna go ahead and play? And on a 256kb connection, its not gonna be much fun. Mehh, your choice.
