PS3 vs XBox 360

So I'm going to get one of them this week but I still don't know which, thoughts?

X360 for me...But seriously, it's your own choice. The best way to choose is to check the exclusives for each console and then make up your mind. Sure the ps3 is a bit more powerfull, bigger disc, blu ray...X360 got better online service (payed true, but that's well worth it) and is also powerfull enough.

PS3 IMO, purely because of licenses and the controller.

Also the fact that you run the risk of getting the RRoD on the xbox, which sadly happened to me. Sooo ps3 yeee.

Not really true anymore due to their new chipset.

And IMO, Xbox360!

Xbox Live is much better online than the PS3 version. Yes, its £40 a year, but its well worth it. Plus you get amazing exclusives like Halo and Gears of War.

Not to mention most games are made for the 360 then ported to the PS3, meaning despite the performance difference, the 360 looks nicer and is more stable.

I'm with Crumpets, PS3. Playstation Home is :shock:

. The PS3 is more expensive but, I think it's great. The games that come out for it don't use its full potential but, it's still great. RRoD, you don't want that. You have to send it to Microsoft for like a month to get it.

It mostly means that your motherboard is fried. But you aint getting a RRoD with the latest 360's cuz of the new chipset or something. I had a RRoD twice, but it doesn't matter...Had it back within 2 weeks.

Sure dude, the only thing they fixed to prevent rings of death and overheating is making the fans go faster.

It may sound like a lawnmower, but it still beats PS3's ass in games anyday. How about that then?

Most PS3's are barely noticable, cause they're never on. When a 360 is near, that is.

And the secondlife rip-off is not gonna change that.

I run my ps3 24/7 as a media center/gaming and it's sitting right next to me on. Cannot hear a thing. My Xbox is also next to me and when it is on you can hear it anywhere in my house. lol

Now games that are multi platform don't count. So you must be talking about gears and halo?

Yes, cause those are the only games on an xbox. Go broad your view somewhere. Even multiplatform games get made for the 360 first, and then ported to the PS3. Now what does that tell you?

If the multi platform game has a PC version then I doubt they made it for either xbox or ps3 first then ported it to PC. A good example of why it would be bad to port a console game to PC would be GTA4. Plays awful on PC.
Either way both the console will get the game so it's up to whatever they player likes.
