Just got my copy of GTA 4

Just noticed, it's actually released in the US today anyway, but I got mine a day early for the UK.

Grats Soda! I considered getting it for the 360, but I figured I'd never like it as much as GTA III, so I decided to wait a bit.

Post pics of the taxi, I remember finishing the game using only the taxi lol.

As for the performance. I'm on basically 'exactly' the min spec. With a 8400 GS (128mb), and can run in 800x600 at lowest settings, and that's it. Textures take so long to load, sometimes I'm driving on thin air. BUT everybody is having performance issues. ATI + nVidia. So hopefully some new graphic drivers and a fix form R* will fix it, but I'm not holding my breath.
I would say I'd upgrade my PC but at the moment it doesn't look like it will do much, most people, even those with 280GTX can only run in 1024x768 with medium textures.

Eeek, I cba to buy the game then lol. My pc isn't as good as yours .. and well if I can't play a game in Widescreen res on at LEAST medium/high .. I won't play it at all ;o

The fact that you don't need to spend hundreds on a console when you already have a PC. I'm a PC gamer, but I love the GTA series and can only play them on consoles. However, there are next to no disadvantages, and if anything, it's advantageous to buy it for the PC.

It's a choice, you can't be critical about someone else's decision when it's purely theirs.

Yeah ofcourse it's your own choice but he said it was better for the PC so I was wondering what's different so that it's better? Because the singleplayer is the same right? and the map. Only difference is the amount of people in 1 multiplayer match if I remember it correctly.

Am i the only one who hated GTA 4. Cameras were so annoying, seemed to be so much worse than the other GTAS.

Halo3/GoW2/CoD:WaW and Modern Warfare and idd racers...so no, it doesn't fail. You just don't like it to fight with a controller probably : ) I on the other hand rather have a controller than a keyboard/mouse.

Ok lets not turn this post into a fight against which is better. I have heard xbox360 has issues with gta4, not loading stuff fast enough but thats pretty much all. PC won't have that problem as long as you can run the damn thing. Personally Im waiting for a crack to be released so i can make sure it runs on my pc, then buy and play multiplayer. One of the few games i will be doing this buy ive been a gta fan since gta3, playing for hours upon hours.

I just can't see why you would like the mp tho...You fight for nothing =/ In CoD you can atleast rank >.<

R* seems to have really farked up some stuff

yeah unless you have friends over I dont understand why you would want to play in a 8 player game when on the PC you can have a map with 64 people

I don't like too many people against eachother...In a 4-6 on 4-6 match you can have a way way way better overview >.<
