Need a new FPS to play. Call of Duty 4 or Team Fortress 2? I don't want to get both of them because I only want to play 1 FPS at a time. This debate sounds kind of retarded because the graphics are really different. Please tell me which one to get and why.

Imo it would be CoD4.
I just don't like how TF2 looks.
But thats just my opinion =-

TF2 is fun and its a good game.

COD4 is a good game but i don't think its nearly as fun.

Tf2 all the way hehe, never gets old for me, playing as all the characters keeps you interested and the gfx are unique and i personally loved them, nice community in my experience and as XemnasXD said it's alot of fun.
COD4 was great until the boredom set in for me. Dunno if i just played it too much but i just sort off lost the urge to play it. It was good while it lasted for me, but a good game it was.

So TF2 imo x)

TF2. CoD4 is just grenadan games.

How can you not pick COD4?

Game is Farking horrible.

I vote for TF2, it'll keep you interested with all the choices. Whereas CoD4 will just end up boring you after a day or two.

On topic - It really depends on what kind of game you like. For example, if you like to be tactical then you could probably go with either one. But each one is tactical in a different way. TF2 is a very strong team effort and it is this way because of the various game modes it has. However, COD4 is team oriented but only in certain game modes. For example, Search and destroy. In this one team plants a bomb at one of two locations while the opposite team defends. This is the most tactical of all cod game modes. But if you like to run and gun and not give a rat's ass then you will wind up buying COD4 and going into a 24/7 TDM(Team Deathmatch) server with 40 other people who have the same 'I don't give a shit' attitude.

So from all that TF2 is the more team oriented/tactical game where COD4 is more of a Run and Gun game. However, both games can switch places at any time because both games have the potential to be tactical and foolish.

My opinion on which one you should get is neutral. I used to play both at once but now I only play COD4 because I lost my steam account info. If i still knew it I would definitely play both.

I didn't like TF2. Random factors make it seem like a game for people who suck at normal FPSes. It's the nintendo wii or first person shooters.

besides, you were probably running around trying to get head shots when someone just beat you in the face with a bat and ran away and you haven't gotten over it.

cant really compare both are different styles of fps

tbh i said cod4 but getting both is a must
