Why? Cuz I got 1 and cuz the controls are much betters for me and alot of ppl its harder to play with ps3 controller then with xbox360. Also ps3 doesnt have better games xbox360 has more exclusive awesome games and that will be that way for a while

Pros:

easy to use UI
Many more games
More xbox only titles
Larger Player base online
cheapest out of the two by far

Cons:

Technically its inferior to the ps3
pay for online

Ps3
Pros:

Blueray
most powerful console on the market
lots of potential
free online

Cons:

Far less games compared compared to the 360 (ps3 only)
Potential may not be used as its likly by that time xbox has a better console out by then
smallest player base out of all 3 consoles
very expensive

all in all both have pros and cons but you dont buy a console for anything other then gaming anything else is a bonus imo so xbox 360 is the logical choice

A lot of XBOX games come out on PC. However, PS3 games do not.

PS3, I have always stuck with Sony for gaming consoles.

It depends on which type of games you prefer.

A lot of XBOX games come out on PC. However, PS3 games do not.

Will take a while for halo3 and gow2 to be on PC, by then they wont affect the xbox360's online numbers.

stil recon 360 is better for the pure and simple fact its got more games and if im not mistaken isnt that why you buy a console

metal gear solid/final fanstasy aka the two greatest games on the ps series are now both going to be cross platform, well final fantasy im not 100% about metal gears solid i heard somewhere that was going to be multi platform aswell so yeh...why real reason is their left for the ps3 when you can get them on the 360 plus games like gears of war and such

Metal Gear Solid 4 got perfect scores, yes a perfect score, at most gaming websites.

Plus you can use your PS3 more than gaming. You got your blu-ray, or you can do what I did and install Linux on it then connect a keyboard mouse and use it like a PC.

i agree, from what i can say about the consoles for the future is:

and 99% of games are shit we only focus on that 1% of awesome if you got a list of everygame thats ever come out and i bet my life 70-90% are shit but the others got some serious fame

don't be so sure because i think that God of War 3 is gonna make your jaws drop all the way to china, the graphics were impeccable on the ps2 and on the ps3 o.0? Also SOCOM confrontation looks pretty good also only multilayer though , and MAG which has no specific release date but will be the biggest multilayer game for a console we have seen yet(256 players). ps3 also has ratchet and clank which i still think is a pretty good franchise, but they lost having FF series as there own to xbox. all and all i think the ps3 has still a great big huge line up of exclusive titles, ones i didn't mention like: killzone 2, resistance 2, little big planet, etc.

I have a ps3 only for socom. I will be buying a xbox 360 because you can mod to play backups.

well if you have a TV that does 1080p definately get the ps3 for bluray. movies look AMAZING and i prefer my basement over theatre because its a lot less expensive and better quality

As far as I know, there's not even rumors of Metal Gear going cross platform. I think the creator of it even said that he'd never make it for 360.

So did GoW and especially the new Gear of War 2. 9.5 ~ 9.7 is close enough to perfect.

Base your descision on what games are coming out.

Or just make gaming fun and buy wii.

Both systems are great, have awesome games, good graphics and are a lot of fun.

It all comes down to personal preference of the exclusive games, controller etc.

I personally would say go for the PS3, I like the controller better, and I'm a MGS fan.

Though Xbox 360 is great too.
