Tantra Global OBT to launch this coming second week of October

After the successful first and second Closed Beta Test, Tantra global will finally have it's much awaited
Open Beta Test.

On October 17, Tantra Global is taking the last step on providing international players the legitimate and
original Tantra service through the OBT.

International players would get a glimpse of what the commercial launching will be as the Prana and drop
rates in the OBT will conform to the rates in Tantra Global's commercial launch.

The OBT will also be chock-full of events and prizes for those who would take part in it, but unlike in the
CBT your character in the OBT will be finally your own. There will be no character wipeouts for those who
will take part in the OBT.

We would like you to come and experience what Tantra Global has to offer. Join the improved global
community. Take part in God wars and band together to create your own Ashram.

i've played this game in phillipines version (http://www.tantra.ph) back
in 2004. it's a fun game, and doesn't bore very quickly. last time
i logged in to my old 2004 beta char, they upped the cap (i think)
because i leveled from 40 to 41 in approx. 15 minutes. so seems
they boosted the xp rate. not sure about this international version
though, haven't been able to get into the cb.

I remember playing this game. Made it to level 27 orso, which was quite a big deal back then..

It\'s 4 years old now, and they still need an open beta and a closed beta?

international version, different company, probably some changes.
i got to lvl 40. my cb char from feb '04 never got wiped :]

if you mean WoKF (world of kung fu), this one is different ;]

best part is that after a certain level you need to choose
a religion. there's 3 religions and several ashrams (guilds)
in each religious group. the guilds are made by players.
when you hit lvl 40, you get to go to the pvp free areas
(iirc), where you kill members of other religion/ashram to
gain points.

besides that, imo they have fun characters to play. like,
the big tanky damage-do-er is twice as big as the assassin
types. there's also my personal favourite, the Yaksha,
that wears two gloves to fight with.

upgrading is done with stones you can find on the ground,
idk if they put those in item mall or npc stores yet. like
other mmo's, there's stones you can buy to make the upgrade
more likely to succeed.

thing is, when i played the tantra.ph CB in '04, i was
hooked till they went released and p2p. after a long time,
they became f2p, but some things were lacking, like the
character movement. when i walk in that one, it looks like
my legs arent touching the ground really. hard to describe.
i hope they fixed that in the international version.

download takes ages however, idk why they haven't added a
mirror site yet. but it's definitely worth a try, it's
just different from other mmo's i've played.

Will try, need a MMORPG to play.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that....

just found a gamershell mirror from 27/09/'08.

going to check that out because the regular download server
seems loaded lol. dl/ing from there with 13kb/s takes me well
over a day -.-

Unfair -_-

Downloaded the game,took me all fri night. In the morning it was corrupted because the patcher cannot open some files. I reinstalled it 4 times and everything but the darn file was corrupt.

Yesterday i spent downloading and every time it gets 25-35 the download failed and i cant resume FFS. Then i let it go Saturday night. And this morning when i woke up it failed hours ago and i only have 40 mins left.
Now when watching vids i want it even more <_<

The drama queen will get hers soon.

i suggest you play at global not the ph server because though ph server do not block ip outside philippines, tantra global offers new maps and item sets which ph server still dont have.


btw i cant log in anymore in tantra global. they blocked ip from philippines T__T

Failed again and yeah i signed up for global and i downloaded global but it just wont. FFS stuck with PW <.<

downloading now =)

only suck thing IMO is that they changed the skill sets.
i dont know the good builds now

btw i got to lvl 33 in 1 day, then didnt have time to
play it, so still lvl 33. IGN is cinisi
