I was just going to buy this on steam. I bought COD4 on PC and Xbox, WAW on PC and Xbox, MW2 on Xbox, PC, and PS3; I never play the console versions because I hate the controller.

I caved in last night and bought the prestige edition for xbox. Because I waited so long I had to buy it online and it's too late to receive it on launch. I'll probably end up buying it for PC on launch date

50 in both modes for objectives (I think 100 for sabotage though). 50 in FFA. 100 in TDM games and 500 in SnD (1k for headshots)

I play mostly by myself and I have like 12-14 days on MW2. As long as you don't play too much in a row it's fine for me, it never got boring. Lol with Halo 3 I could play a full day with a friend hehe. Also splitscreen is now in black ops

Yup I have like 13 days on mw2 and all of it was pure fun except for some raging moments but what made me rage back then has been removed now.

Plus they introduced a complete new system and a way larger amount of possible costumization, so I think I'll be able to get atleast 13 days of playing before getting kinda bored of it.

Weird, I could've sworn that Modern Warfare 2 earned over $300 million in the first day and then some ($200 million) later. Now I've read that Black Ops pre-orders are going to dominate those of MW 2.

Anyone who thinks black ops is just a carbon copy of mw2 and will fail are pretty much identical to those who said it about mw2 (wrong). The same was said about GTA 4, Need For Speed games, etc. If it's only the 'same crowd' buying the game then explain how the sales are (projected to be at this point) higher. People buying more than 1 copy lols?

Obviously the game will be very similar in many ways. Why fix the things that aren't broken?

Honestly I don't see a problem with how CoD is run. They build off of what is successful and accompany it with new features. You can't expect brand new games to be constantly produced. It really isn't possible, especially when people already trend to games that they are familiar with. Honestly I have seen a lot of new features in the game that make me think that it has potential to be a very good game. I honestly think getting rid of stopping power was a great move. There was no need for it ever since juggernaut was removed. If you are worried about a game being too similar, then that's cool. I have felt that about games, but after playing them I noticed that it's hard to make an exact copy of a game. Especially since we are working off of two different companies (Treyarch and IW.)

I wonder how the release of BO is going to affect Reach. I don't even know how much of Reach I am going to be playing when I get back home. I have always favored CoD since I feel as it is more dynamic and overall more fun for me.

I am pretty sure it's a whole new story too. Attachments + equipment is different too. I think you are trying to prove something that really is just not possible. The games are NOT identical. CoD has always had a certain gameplay feel. But how the game is actually is played has been changing with each game.

Yeah, well no shit. It's a sequel, it's not a different franchise. EVERY COD game will be an FPS with the same controls and the same game play. If it weren't it wouldn't be COD, it would be something else.

And then to like make it more unique they should add in an extra mode called 'Cod Cruisers', where you all get bikes and cars and can drive around everywhere, racing each other.

n yeah, not that many choices of weapons, but you can you know "customize' weapons.

So Melee, can have ur swords, axes clubs blah blah, but you can have "specialty swords"

Like imagine Sword = AR
In the Sword (AR) you have different ones.
Katana (ACR)
Broad Sword (Scar)
Scimitar (Tar-21)
ect..

Same thing with Axes (LMG) Bows (Snipers) X-Bows (Subs)

Then u have ur killstreaks, i dono 7KS Dragons breath, pretty much EXACTLY like Napalm but - the Fighter Jet and Explosions, just a dragon flyover with fire.
