da realest, after running that instance 2 or 3 more times im sure you will get bored and go pvp and find there is rarely any meaningful pvp in the game considering the only rift spot only has monsters going up to lv45.

the fort sieges are a massive zerg fest, if you aoe everything youll get a medal.
aside from that, theres dredgion where basically if you have an SM with fear shriek you basically win and you shouldnt have a problem with that.

either way for me this game has come down to
1.farm guards
2.dredgion.
3.farm instances

dregion is once every 8 hrs.....

sooo im ending my sub. its over in 10 days

aion has ONE instance endgame, and the gear drops are 3rd tier anyway.
plus the instance requires you to stay in there for 4 hours, unless you can get an A rank of 3 hrs. Getting a group together, DP has taken me about 5 hours to complete if not 6. Oh and not to mention each run costs items which are equivalent to 800k gold on my server. so fun .

Dark Poeta isn't the only available instance, but the best instance doing at 50. You still can farm the instances.. either it be dark poeta or steel rake you can still do it.

I never seen that happen in Siel. Worst I've seen was 5 bots killing the same mob, but they've disappeared weeks ago.

We got zerged by bots and nearly died. Many level 40+ players soon showed up and finished us off.

I'm too preoccupied with MW2 and Dragon Age to really notice Aion's lack of content. I still need to get my last 2 stigma slots, haven't been to DC yet, haven't been to the dreagion yet(Never can get enough elyos), haven't fought the last steel rake boss, and I can finally participate in fort raids since they fixed the crash problem. I have 3 more months before my subscription ends and I'm sure things will be better by then.

Ok, regardless of the bots, i'm really interested to play Aion but i have some questions.

I know i have to pay to play but, do i have to buy a cd or something? or i can jsut "buy the game" and download it from the official site? (cost around 50$ O_O)

I guess, they accept paypal, so montly fee is about 14$ right?

If its a P2P game, theres no Item Mall or something like that?

I read that the lvl cap is 50... any future updates to increase it?

NCSoft does accept paypal and so does Steam. The game is a grind-fest, but nothing compared to Silkroad. If you grinded to 80 in Silkroad then you'll have no problem getting to 50.

Steam = best download place for any game. I was going at 800kb/sec when the game was launched and when I had to update off NCSoft it was going at 150kb/sec. I'm almost sure they've fixed that shitty rate, but steam = best imo.

Game is comparable to SRO grind but on a smaller scale..I'd say it's almost level to level.

Get to 50 (maybe 60) on sro and you'll have no problem getting to 50 on Aion. The difference with Aion is the abundance of quests and things to do along the way which makes it much more fun and enjoyable.

The grind isn't close to anything like sro level 80 or even 70 where it takes 5+ days of solo grind on a 0 gap (with gold ticket or equivalent) to level up.

I never said that 50 in aion = 80 in Silkroad lol. I just said if you grinded to 80 then you'll have no problem grinding in Aion.

Been playing for 2 months today I believe, must say it's the best MMO I've ever played. Sure there are issues that need to be addressed.. but nothing gamebreaking imo. I haven't done much solo grinding since 39 so bots haven't been a problem (there are none in instances obviously).
Leveling is.. fun. at least I enjoy it, 47 now while taking my sweet time.

Comparing WoW gfx to Aion gfx is like..

n64 -> ps3
bathtub -> swimming pool
bottle -> keg
payphone -> cellphone

The thing that I hate what Aion does is that you can't put the texture on the truest max. You can, but I forgot how it was on Aion source somewhere.. There's a better quality than what you have it at max.

Holy Shit! Was that CryEngine 2? The graphics matches B&S. That's amazing. That and the previewed content will definitely get me back on Aion. Just need to know when that is.

They're two of three factions in the game, and they're the only playable ones. They're enemies, like Horde and Alliance in WoW. Once you roll Elyos on one server, you can't make an Asmodian on the same server. They can't take to each other in game since their messages are scrambled.

Both have access to the same classes and almost the same items/gears, just look different and named different (same stats). The Elyos live at the bottom half of Atreia, Asmodians the top half. This means that they progress on different areas. However, they have access on almost all areas through rifting.

Asmos are on the bottom according to one of the maps. You can see that you're broken off from the bottom lol. I'm confused with the actual story and the shit in the game. They can't make up their minds.. lol
