If your running low on gold heres some tips to help you out....
1. Stop all your villagers from working in the Lumber camp and in your special resource camp *marble, Grapes,Crystal and Sulfur* when your villagers are'nt working they give you 3 gp every hour. So lets say you have 200 villagers you stop them all from working. So their all giveing you 3 gp per hour. That's 600 coins an hour. Now if you just log off and let them sit you'll have 7200 gold within 12 hours
2. Sell your "special" resource at a trading post for around 20 gp a piece *Some sells for more then others*

OK so I kinda got how it works but it takes too long to build something and you can't even make other buildings while another building is under construction.

Yeah and it only gets worse....BUT I like it cause all I have to do is log on start building a building then check on my resources and then maybe go pillage a town or just log off again

Well ya and at least you don't have to pay 200 silk to log in

yeah, u can pretty much choose your own build plan

i would recommend building a research center and starting to upgrade as soon as possible

to gather wood just got to your island and click on the pile of wood, there you can select how many villagers will be gathering wood and how much gold you will be earning after sendin X number of villagers to get wood

with the research also comes the library which is pretty much a good guide to the features of the game

you will not be able to form alliances until later in the game (for those of you who just started)

1. upgrade your warehouse
-research for brewery
2. upgrade your town center
3. upgrade brewery and get more population
4. expand towns

and you can do watever you want afterwards

my advice:
-invest all/most your resources in expanding your towns as much as possible and get brewery and upgrade them asap
-try to keep them on 1 island so distributing resources is faster

this increases your resources and knowledge per hour for faster development in mid and late game

My town automatically started researching wealth is that ok? coz I thought I need to research it myself.

How do I produce more population?
I've max my researchers but I need 15h+ more to research wealth.

Wait if you selected economy the academy will automatically research all the items below economy is that right?
Do I need an army? or at least defenders? I'm lvl 2

yes, its normal when researches start and continue on their own

i recommend clicking on your academy and then on the left hand menu theres a library option, click on that to find out more about what each upgrade does and about other game features
