Rift going completely F2P June 12th

Damn I got pinched in the other thread. It doesn't matter, the word got out there, everyone is now better off for knowing Rift is F2P. Viva la revolucion!

A friend of mine is starting up soon. We're going to see how effective powerleveling is, but if it doesn't work I'll probably be rerolling altogether.

Got from 14 to 17 in like an hour doing instant adventures. Not bad.

Glad to have patron queue though, can't imagine what normal queue is like.

Yeah I'm definitely transferring, I'll put what server I went to later. Certain zones including the 20+ one auto flag you for pvp when you enter, so I can't even do anything in there without getting killed.

I learned there's cross faction talking allowed, so I just made peace with the dudes who killed me.

They were actually pretty cool guys, we just talked about random shit. Apparently there's actually incentives(in the form of whatever Rift's equivalent to WoW's Honor Points is) to kill anyone and everyone.

I already transferred, not wasting my time. Especially with the invasion of non English speakers, I just don't feel like dealing with that. I forget the name, but I transferred to one of the servers they added yesterday I think, seemed like more people in the lower level areas.

US, I don't think any of us are on the same server right now. We'll probably bounce around a bit until we find a good one, transfers are free after all.

Hailol is the server I'm on since it was one of the new servers they opened, so more people leveling at the lower levels. That and the name made me laugh

Truly F2P has a few restrictions, but nothing gamebreaking. The community is a little out of whack right now with all the kids just trying out the game for the first time. Chats are a little clogged but I imagine it will even it itself out.

I've been really enjoying Rift so far and can't wait to get to end game.

Yeah they're kind of a run around and earn XP type of thing. Quick and efficient, but pretty boring. I've been doing a random Warfront or two a day and I have to say, it's a lot of fun and also decent XP.

I've went from 10 to 40 through warfronts, only have about 1 day /played. It's usually bad for me around the lower end of the bracket, but then I get some gear through the pvp vendors and by mid bracket I'm usually top damage and killing blows.

I considered Silkroad Forums, but I'm thinking Off Topic Lounge might be a cooler, more general name.

Hit I when you're ingame and you can queue for random dungeon. Hit K if you want random warfronts (pvp).

Well I'm set on planarite for a while now. Found the sourcestone merchants 10 and 20 levels later than the gear they sell, sitting on 13k of the stuff after I exchanged all my stones.
