Shows what you know, the starship will be the "homebase" You control all kinds of things from it, companions, where you're going, just go on the site and check for yourself.

Meh, i didnt get a starship in the beta. But its everyone's opinion. Goodluck SWTOR!
So how many plan on preordering this? Wondering if you all might want to get a guild together. Need at least 4 accounts to preorder the game in order to have a guild premade.

What are the different factions and how do they work with eachother? I was thinking a mage-type sith class or a bounty hunter class but I don't know enough about the mechanics.
I just read all the game info pages. I liked every single empire class and I wasn't very impressed with the republic ones. I liked the bounty hunter, imperial agent, and inquisitor the most. I am not sure which I prefer more between the bounty hunter and imperial agent (imperial agent looks a bit bland), but I really like the inquisitor (sorcerer). Every time I play an MMO I always roll the warrior type class. I would like to try something different this time.
Imperial agents are cool because they heal and have companions that heal. I played sith inquisitor up to lvl 25, and IMO it had the most interesting storyline. I was one evil son of a bitch... was dark level 2 before everyone my level lol.
Playing group missions is fun, but when it comes to dialogue it gets annoying... When talking to an npc, the person with the highest roll is the one who gets to say what to the npc.. and I hated how people in The Empire chose to do good deeds like not kill someone.. it's like dude you are supposed to be evil here ._.
Starships are cool too. It is home base basically. The starship missions are hard... the first time I tried it I got owned so bad..

That would piss me off to no end...

MrJoey wrote:Oh wow, already got the preorder code, didn't think I'd get it until the game was close to coming out.
I got mine within the hour. When I got the receipt e-mail it had a "digital rights". It wasn't very obvious. I put it into the SWTOR website and it gave me a preorder code. I think I may have circumvented the part where they check stock and let you know.
Too bad I only have windows xp on my macbook pro with parallels. I would totally buy this game and windows 7 to put on my mac but unfortunately I need to put my money in with tuition and book bills.
New video about one of the flashpoints (similar to 5mans in WoW I guess) http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/ess ... alkthrough Certainly is different from playing traditional hack and slash mmo. I do wonder about the dialog, do you have to go through it every time? If you do, I could see it getting old pretty fast.

How is that different from your traditional hack and slash mmo ... I would describe all the gameplay I've seen from this game as shitty.
Guild Wars 2, Isle of Janthir (NA)
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken.

That screenshot the OP posted looks so much better than the gameplay videos you see on YouTube. I'm actually surprised. The videos I've seen had beyond terrible graphics (especially with really contrasty colors between the light sabers and the environment).
Shame that I'm not really interested that much in the star wars setting, but if it proves to be good after launch I will not hestitate to play. Right now I'm going to keep myself busy with a couple of big title SP-RPG games that I haven't finished, and then BF3 OB -> Skyrim -> BF3 -> Diablo3.
Double post worthy I'd say, release date has been set. December 20th, they're certainly trying to get that holiday dollar at the last possible moment I'd say...
Also sent an application to ava's guild.

I'm starting to get excited about this game. I think it would be so much cooler if in town and shared zones you could not tell between the two factions.
