If you see high level people it's because they got legit copies of the game early. IW only reset and banned people who got pirated versions.

I showed up at store and some guy who ordered prestige couldn't pick it up because his wife went bezerk when she found out it was 200CAD. So they had 1 extra which I bought.

Single player story was very good I thought. Played a little multiplayer as well, and like all the maps so far, but is it me or are they all smaller than most of the maps in cod4?

You know even though I agree with BFBC2 being a good game, it cannot blow MW2 out of the water. The value of respect and expectations that CoD4 created cannot be overrun by a new game. Also, they are two different games. You cannot say they play similarly.

Also, this might sound rude, but the only people saying that BFBC2 will blow MW2 out of the water are the PC community. They are still made, and they should be. But false assumptions wont go far. I remember Operation Dragon Rising was supposed to be amazing but I haven't heard anything about that game since launch.

Don't get me wrong, it will be a great game. But to say it will blow a game that already has a massive hype engine behind it is a little bold. So far from the reviews I have heard no one has been disappointed from the gameplay.

But time will tell.

I agree...still early to talk considering MW2 was just released and BFBC2 hasnt been released yet, a beta will be release soon. But i am expecting a tough competition between the 2 franchises.

BFBC2 advantage is that it has dedicated servers, not only for PC's but consoles too. It has a new game engine called Frostbite, while MW2 still uses Quake 3 engine. MW2 graphics are really nice but gameplay is the same as CoD4 (excluding weapons/perks/etc).

MW2 for PC will live for about 3 months i think. Thats all it takes for the hype to disappear and PC gamers to give up on the game and move to something else. As for Operation Flashpoint, yes it was supposed to be a great game. If you check their forums you'll find 150+ pages of dedicated server files requests, its p2p atm.

BFBC2 might be shit when it comes out, but im sure that modders will turn it into a great game. Still dont think that it will beat MW2 sales though.

Well, atleast for the 360, that's a good thing imo, since the max players isn't that big. Those big maps were a pain in the arse.

They changed the player max to 18 (which was already the max at ps/360) so they had made smaller maps ofcourse. In the first you could go with 32 (or 36) online with the pc so they had big maps and I guess because they didn't want to remake them or what ever for the consoles we had huge maps for 9vs9 fights.

Lol i wonder how long the PC version will last. With IWNet there is no way to kick a player. On dedicated servers Admins usually respond very fast. The PC version relies totally on VAC atm and its future is not looking good.

Spent today on Campaign.

A bit short but i'm not complaining as i loved it. I didnt like the massive twist, as i liked "that guy who you'll know who i'm on about if you've completed it". Seemed a lot harder than the other CODs aswell, cant imagine how long it'd take me if i played on Veteran.
