Woo i got my pre-play key and registered an account and almost have 40% downloaded now

Also, finally got my new headphones so i hope I'll talk to you guys on vent and whatnot

Where did you preorder, twysta?
I bought the preorder from dynabyte but I guess they just mean that literally: I ordered it before the game was out.
Though I've also read I have to pay $5 for early access which I haven't and I don't need a headstart of 3 days.

I emailed a lot of dutch companies and i found only a single one that gives out the early access key. Which is gcshop.nl.

Stated it somewhere in this topic but if i were you i would quickly order it there and start downloading the client now

By the way, they give out the keys either tuesday or wednesday.
My processor is arriving tommorow I'll give you guys the IP for vent then as well.

When I was playing call of duty we had a TS server and it has always been up since then, not gonna stop anytime soon.
I thought you said you were gonna host your own vent server on an old pc, but if you don't care much for which voice program it is you can also use that TS server.
The ip is 80.101.85.17 all the channels don't have a password and the admins are very nice so they'll probably hook you up with an AoC channel if you want to.

Wanna roll same servers? I could use the help lol.

After using vent for a couple of months i really don't want to go back to TS The sound quality difference that i notice now is so huge.

We are going to host our own vent and all of you are welcome.

they nerfed the ranger's range and his damage. I had finally decided to go with a ranger but people from both closed and open beta say the class is farked up now.
At 80 the ranger is a hybrid and doesn't excell at anything according to the people playing there. Btw, if you want to own: roll a PoM, they apparently rape @ 80.

I wouldn't worry about nerfs, etc. You know there will always be patches to realign your class if it gets f'd up somehow.

Huge difference.

On some bigger CSS maps i used to have like 20 FPS.
(AMD 3500+, 1gig ram, 8500GT)

Now in the exact same setup, i have 200+ FPS.
(Q6600 @ 2.66 GHz each, 3 RAM, 8800GT, vista 32 bit)

OC'd from 2.44 to 2.66 for now. Can easily do more with this processor but don't need more atm

Same goes for all my games.. especially unreal tournament 2007.

Although it's annoying the way almost nothing is optimized for quad core yet...

Grr I don't get 200fps in css, only at very rare occasions. Must be my cpu bottlenecking the card.

Hopefully I'll get some money in the near future and get an upgrade

Farking bs, I have downloaded the early access thing twice each time at the end saying there is no folder or something. I can't download it again because my ISP already warned me that I am near my download cap for this month. Farking pissing me off, damn Vista.

You will be able to download the game but you won't be able to play until you get your key which will come with your retail box. Essentially saving you ~5 hours, install + patching. They just ran out of early access codes so you're stuck with a box copy. You can find the client link somewhere in the past few pages.
Preorders still may be available where you get an in game mount or item. Standard 30 days free then $14.95/month.

If you were sooner you could've bought the early access for $5 bucks and then cancel your order at the end if you don't like it.
Sadly, most of us weren't so yeah, you have to buy the game. At first they stated you also needed a gamecard to play but they changed that. If you buy the game you have 30 days playtime with it.

During the pvp mayhem event everyone was getting killed at spawns and it was really hard to get anywhere. If it's the same in the full game I dunno... would be really annoying. Well yeah the pvp weekend was there for pvp but it will be exactly the same in the full game. I mean the players decided to gank and gank some more, so it's really up to the community. Nah, i don't think people will be ganking a lot in PvP servers...

They extend the safezones till well around the city's so you can sneak out.

Plus, people will be lvling first!

Anyway, yeah, it looks like only 2 pvp servers and 8 pve servers might give them some population problems haha.
