My Crit % was like 66% when I was level 7 today , then I leveled up to 8, and it dropped to 55% , and then I got this thing flashing on my finesse telling me that it's awfully low for my level; that's when I realized it was -13% instead of 13%

Every class got some stats that is low each level almost, nothing to worry about, you get gear sooner or later that balance it out.

Luck gear is very limiting at mid levels, so just try to get your crit above 5% and glancing below 20% you should be fine leveling.

Yes

Not a biggie, but I suggest going with luck since many of the high level gears lacks it.

Compare to SRO Allods levels really fast, you can technically cap in a month if you keep at it.

I've never played a mage so I can't help you much, but from what I observe, they use all 3 elements, you'll need at least lvl 1 firewall and lvl 1 icygrave, both are great cc abilities, and prism lightning for damage, a lot of people basically use all 3 elements, read the guide at the allods forums and you'll get a sense of what are some of the MUST HAVE rubies/ talents. U won't have too much room to play around with your talent grid as its usually cookie cutter, but you'll have some what or a flexibility on your ruby grid. The thing about allods is kinda cool, because there's not really any wrong builds, its always a trade off in some way, you get better at something, you get worst at something else. So depending on your play style your build could be different, the key point here is to have SYNERGY in your rubies and your talents, if you want to be a damage dealing build, you might want to pick up +int/ + luck rubies etc, if you want to be a cc build you would want to invest in cc abilities rubies. Teleport and invisible is almost a must for a mage to escape, as you're super squishy, although illusions and stone barriers helps a lot, 1 AoE can get all your illusions to die in a jiffy. I would suggest try to focus on a mobile play style, and choose spells that does decent damage and have a low or instant cast time.

In terms of stats points, most people put all their stat points into luck because luck gear is harder to find at mid-later levels, but 40 stat points is nothing compare to late game gear as you can easily get a piece of gear with over +50 luck/ perc / int on it. The key to stats is to balance everything the best you could while focusing on something after that balance is achieved.


Edit: one more thing, remember when you reach level 40 you'll be 3 ruby short, 2 from the last instance call GT tower, and 1 from achieving the judge pvp rank (requires you to be pvping 8 hours a day for a week to achieve = super hard, but its been done b4) so plan your build with the allods calculator and leave 3 rubies out because the last 3 rubies takes a while to get.
