Check military > combat reports
if they are green that means you've won, if they are red you've lost
they automatically return to your city if they have won

If the attack was successful you can view the loot by clicking the mayor overview.

If no one here can trade with you, you can always build a trading post and trade from there. The more you expand it, the more you can trade through your post and the further your can trade.

I'm expanding two of my colonies' GMs. Finally.

Hell no it doesn't. I started on sulfur city. I'm doing great.
Your advantage as a sulfur city is that you can produce troops. Once you have troops (even if it's a few slingers), you can pillage inactives and steal THEIR marble. You can literally steal thousands of marble in an hour or two.

Yeah, my Sulphur colony is pretty much self-maintained. It pillages its own wine, marble, wood and crystal. AND its got the top donation for wood and (almost) sulphur on the SRF sulphur island.

its also got nearly as big an army as my 2 main cities (marble and wine, which maintain each other and are next to each other)

Sent 40 Phalanx with both silver upgrades and 17 swordsmen at him. Hes got a L14 town hall and L6 town hall. Hes got a L5 Trading Ship post thingy. Nom Nom Nom.
Ran a battle calc with just 40 phalanx I get a flawless victory, so sent some fodder just to be sure.

You send a cultural assets treaty under Diplomacy (when you click on someone's city). Your museums can hold as many as the max levels you have. Meaning, if you have a level 5 museum in one city and a level 3 museum in another, you can have a total of 8, right?

It starts getting tricky when you only have 4 cultural assets, though. In that case, you can distribute them. Maybe 2 to city one and 2 to city 2. Or all 4 to city one. Or 1 to city one and 3 to city two.

I really don't see how he could possibly win. His archers might be the only thing.
But Trice, you should've overwhelmed him with Swordsmen instead of Phalanxes. Swordsmen have the Assault bonus, remember? And since he's on the defending side, his Phalanxes have a defense bonus.

i know, but i didnt have swordsmen. i wasmaking 50 at the time, but found that base and one of my spies was caught, so i didnt want to lose my attacking element of surprise.

2nd round is looking better, i think i might win on stamina, rathr than loss of troops

Trice don't fall in the same hole as I did.. i came with 30 phalanx and 40 swords and some rams/catapults yet i lost more than 50% of my troops.. I have no idea how he can win with that little troops......

No worries I'm greatly expanding my army I'll launch my army soon
