Personally, I take the one-hit-kill sniper, but the semi-auto is fun as well

Wish I could play. Gunz is nice but I don't wanna use swords all the time. Soldier Front and Warrock suck. Maybe I'll just buy CS:S.

Some idiot on the CA forums made a sniping guide that put weight on camping and moving in zig zags. I commented on it and I thought some might find it useful here.

People who have been playing the game for a while are starting to get used to camping spots, they check the sniper nests every time they run past. If you're standing still, scoped in (narrowed vision), you're dead. The only way to successfully snipe in this game is to be on the assault, and once you get into a flanking position you pick them off. In a matter of seconds you should be cycling through the map getting ready for all of them to respawn.

If you can manage to kill them in a group running from spawn to cover, without spawn killing them, you will always run into small groups of them in the wide open running for cover.

I almost forgot, on the subject of running in zigzags:

For the most part people are at the same height as you, slightly above, or way up high if you're running next to a building. If you're zig zagging and they're on the same level as you, they won't see you zigzag, on their screen you still run in a straight line - the difference is instead of being exposed for a couple seconds, you're standing in the open like an idiot for dozens of seconds. If they're way above you, you should have time to cut their line of vision, bait a shot, and take them down.

What i'm trying to say is that zig zagging just adds more distance between you and a safe spot. If you're being shot at, the only effective way to dodge it is to jump up and down, and throw in some sprinting to make it hard for them to put their crosshairs infront of you and wait for you to walk in them. For the most part, it works best to just sprint in a straight line and only start jumping once you hear shots being fired. As a sniper, you should scan an area for other snipers before crossing it, and a guy with an ak from distance won't take you down in a shot.

Ok so this game looks beast, going to download right now. One more question about the game, when you are sniping and the target is running do you have to lead the shot like in cod4?

If you mean shoot slightly ahead of them, I think so. I only had to do it once, as most targets are moving towards me or standing still.

Yea that is what I meant, I got really good at running target snipes when I played cod4 hardcore.

I only played HC in COD4 too, and I never lead the shot.

I had to on sprinters when sniping the street at the beginning of S&D matches on Crossfire, never hit when my reticle was on them.

Ridiculusly stupid game btw. Played on Cold Seed.
Started off 3v1.
Bought a SR25 for a day to try it out.
Still have my AK Silenced and Scoped in A.
Raped utterly, but was ridiculously out matched.
At 46 Me 5 Them, Destiny joins. Shit bugger.
His score before those other two joined at 7X was something like 2:10.
He got an ultra kill once from me tanking people at the assembly line intersection with my semi sniper while he ks...
Fun game in the end though, got a hell of a lot of fantastics.
Cold Seed's pretty fun too ^^

Lol, I got an ultra kill off of people walking out of their spawn on the snow map. I was playing ctf on team alpha and sat up on the hill picking them off. It was pretty funny.

It is strange, the only gun I can use is the L96A1 suppressed. I am terrible with everything else I have tried.

i know it sounds nub, but i'm having so much fun with the SR25....
you can rocket shot with baisically no recoil till your 4 shot and then you got six more to go... the dead sex accuarcy is pretty lovin' too ^^
