Im not playing, my graphic card crashed so I had to use a spare one which barely runs the game on lowest settings, so I hold off until i can be arsed to buy a new graphic card.

played the beta, world pvp is good not zergy (on pvp servers) and quests are great but the graphics, i must be spoilt coming from aion but the character models and customizablity are shit, it turned me off big time even though the environmental graphics are quite good. saying that i will probably buy the retail tomorrow dang i got alotta catching up to do.

The quests are so boringly linear that I feel I'm repeating the exact same thing every new zone I enter. Not to mention that the quest lines aren't even exciting or even have that much story behind them.

I guess I'm spoiled in that sense from WoW, but still. The linear, repetitive nature of the quests sort of killed that for me. Luckily, Rifts at least keep the questing part of the game somewhat random.

You should of just bought the digital version.

I went for the boxed collectors edition due to it not including the USB stick in England because of a technical issue. Instead it includes another pet, an additional month of gametime and a whole set of Sourcestone Runes. So well worth the extra monies.

I doubt mine will show up today as I only ordered it yesterday. Our mail man is shit though. Sometimes he shows up at 10am and sometimes he shows up at 3pm.

Got my rift, somehow the Cd just doesnt allow me to install altough I have uninstalled my beta for a thoudsand times. So i gotta download it, same thing happened with Aion, why dont these ever work?
Edit: Great now it surely got uninstalled since it doesnt allow me to evenunistall it anymore, only option is to click "exit" button -.-

It could be an issue with the settings. Be sure that you've deleted the files in C:\Program Data... Or whatever your hard drive is. (Not all of them obviously. Just the Rift/Trion ones)

If that doesn't work try downloading CCleaner and clearing your registry. But be sure to make a backup first in case something goes wrong.

Anyway. Mine didn't come yesterday, and our mail man is really late today. I need to go out, but I don't want to miss the mail.

Yea I cleaned registery before installation at first few time (Using EasyCleaner tough) but since I already started downloading and downloading speed is suprisingly fast (350 KB/sec) I think im not going to risk 25% of game i've already downloaded. Going to play a bit in the evening, meanwhile im trolling on Rift forums.

PS. Anyone playing in Whitefall (PvP) in EU, was thinking of going there when I start, probably a Mage or Cleric (yea I know they are most underrated callings but atleast Im unique then

I just got mine, and damn, the collectors edition box is huge. Installing now and will probably be on one of the EU pvp realms.

I'm not sure what I will be yet. I've seen a few videos on you tube and I like how Riftblade (Warrior) plays. It's kinda like a fire mage but wearing plate and is regarded the best class for leveling a Warrior... I don't want to have something that everyone else and their aunt's neighbour's friend plays though.

Reaver (Also Warrior) looks really nice too. Although it's a tanking class, it can AoE really well and has incredible self healing abilities.

Bard also seems interesting but I don't know if I want to play a rogue solo, and Bard is mainly a support build.

I created a Riftblade Warrior and it's really fun. The combination of DoTs, direct nukes and melee attacks make for an interesting combo. Defensive skills are really lacking though but that should get easier as I level and put more points into Reaver and Warlord.
