Official Call of Duty: Black Ops Thread

Black ops is really stable for me on xbox360.
I have the ps3 also but I dont have black ops on the ps3 to compare connectivity and lag issues.
I did notice, even on the xbox that some lobbies are more likely to disconnect.
Example: I was in a lobby and the game crashed causing everyone to return to the pre-game screen, we started another match and the game crashed again....I changed lobby and never DCed again. This happened twice to me so far.
So basically, there are some shitty lobbies.

Is there a prestige hack already? Seen two different people in the last hour or so with colored clan names. (13th or 14th prestige needed for that...)

There were 2 prestige glitches, glitches not hacks, and now there is a glitch where you can get the coloured clan tag before 13th prestige.

Please no nerf for the ak74u!!!

Yeah, the colored clan tag is ridiculously easy to do. It doesn't really bother me that people are doing it though.

With the Report system(if they keep up with it) I doubt there will be many prestige hacks for awhile. Hopefully it's not dismissed as "Not harming others" So they just disregard it like Halo.

Yes but if they listen to the suggestions some might consider "bad" then they will most likely listen to the other "better" suggestions.

I honestly don't feel like the ak74u needs to be nerfed but it is one of the best guns, if not the best, in the game at the moment.

Now I'm hoping that they change sniping since people are making petitions and all that shazz and neglecting the entire community would really lower my respect for treyarch's work.

I had to comment on this. You actually respected Treyarch at all? Wow. They were dead to me after World at War.

I pretty much neglected WaW and the respect I have for them is due to them listening to the community and removing most of the annoying stuff from mw2.

Loved the intro, once again music.. My personal preference i guess, but not really for me.

Still thought the intro was sick, and you pulled of some nice Shots and Scalps.

But really, the Intro, the fly over Hannoi and all that. Super sweet.. All up till Jungle was good, and if your dead set on those white flashes you did during Jungle when you were up on the hill, i would shorten them a little

It keeps chrashing, EVERY two matches.

Tried renaming the config files etc, nothing helps.
This Farking sucks, biggest waste of money EVER to buy a pc for this, and buy this game.

Apperantly with the last patch some bug that caused problems between black ops mp and the ATI catalyst control center, so it should work when it's off...
I sure hope it will T__T

As for it being on PC, i've played Soldier of Fortune on pc, counterstrike on pc, etc.
Imo shooters just need to be played on pc, fast and accurate action ^^

Watched like the first half, only thing I got to say is. Stop being selfish and equip the spy plane. It will get you alot more kills than the single or maybe double kill you get from the RC car. Also you help out your team alot with it.

I enjoyed the RCXD at first, i mean come on a RC Explosive car. SO MUCH FUN,

but the Spy plane is so much better.

This game is still seriously broken though.
My napalm strikes dont always go where i put them.
Napalm strikes and b52 bombers bomb THROUGH buildings.
Personaly, i dont like the damage system either, i preferred Mw2's damage.
I do not like needing half a clip for 1 person over a slight amount of distance, and then gettign an assist (think i get about 8-10 assists per match, if playing agressively).
The hit registering system isnt working well, sometimes you need 2 bullets for a kill, sometimes 6.... but i believe they said they're working on a patch for that atm, but still.

The game had a real damn lot of flaws when brought out, it feels like an unfinished product.

Now i've gone onto spy plane -> napalm -> chopper gunner. Doing a hell of a lot better now, KDR is 1.9 now and going up.

I don't like the mouse sensitivity for this game. I try adjusting it and its either too fast or too slow,same goes with WaW, because of that my accuracy is soo off and i get own soo much =P that doesn't happened in mw2 and cod4 tho.

Loving the g11. Getting about a 4 to 5 KDR each game with it.
