Did we ever get the guild figured out?

/rant I love how IA's are sticking me in defiant areas, and if I go in certain areas the guards just slaughter me and I can't do anything about it. Real smart design

It's only 1P for a guild charter. I'm interested if we can find 3 others as well

Doesn't have much to keep you entertained either, grinding seems more mindless than Tera. If the xp from quests scaled properly I bet it would be better with the story line, but it doesn't.

I can level through quests pretty quickly even in the 40s. I've been told Instant Adventures or whatever are the way to go though

Yep, IA's are the fastest way to get experience, also the most boring. I got to 45 and took a break, nobody does the level 45+ IA's, and the 30-35 zone is getting old just like all the others.

I dunno, I can sit down for an hour or so and pound out a level pretty easily with a good group doing IAs. I want to start using the Rift LFG too. That seems like a lot of fun.

Hit 50 the other day and been doing the classic dungeons. I'm really going to enjoy the end game.

Actual mechanics? Healing is a challenge? I love it.

You're going to really hate getting there. I'm almost 53, moving slowly, and it's so mind numbingly boring.

Story quests, carnage quests, fill in missing experience with dungeons and IA's, repeat.

Oh and then the real grind begins at 60, notoriety, dungeons, hunt rifts, gear, PvP for different gear.

Awesome. I can't wait to hit 60.

Planar Attunement was a little weird to understand at first, but I suppose it's just a few extra stats to add to your character? if I'm understanding it correctly.

Oh and there's also some misc stuff in there like shields, extra move speed, planar charges etc.

I neglected to try out Pelladane for leveling, and oh man was I missing out. Huge quest reward increase to compensate for the huge XP required to level. It doesn't feel like it's gonna take a year to get to 60 anymore.

Update:

Still playing with some real life friends and we're having a blast. Couple of us are capped and working on getting geared up. I love that this gearing process is actually a challenge and I wasn't just raid geared in a day.

If anyone's interested we're on Hailol Guardians side. We made our own guild and are pretty much leveling it ourselves and having a blast doing it. I wish there was an Armory to link my character, but I guess screenshots will have to do. I'll update later with some

How does the game run performance wise? All my friends have poverty PCs so they can't play GW2 with me :( This looks semi-decent so might jump on this with some friends.

In Tempest Bay(the main city for capped 60 characters), I usually run around 50fps on Ultra with very few addons. Some zones are a little graphically intense if you set your video settings too high, otherwise if it's at an appropriate level it's smooth and beautiful.

Gimme a rundown of their raids compared to WoW (sizes, class distribution, difficulties, etc.). Blizz just added another difficulty level and I can already see myself burning out with in a month. Gotta get my fix somewhere.

I haven't done much raiding or really read into it, but it seems the tiers go 10man - 20man, increasing in difficulty as you go higher raid sizes.

Most seem to be 2-3 tanked, about 6-7 healed, and 10-11 dps. Keep in mind there are only 4 classes in Rift, and each class has about 8 or 9 Souls(Specs) that you can switch around pretty much any time. You can have multiple roles(Like dual spec but better since you can have I think 8 different ones), so you're not really ever limited to just DPS or just Healing. Then aside from that your DPS has AOE oriented specs, CC oriented specs, Single Target specs, etc. Same with heals. Tank oriented, AOE healing, Mitigation focused.

I like the idea of Flex Raiding. That is, you can't fill a group completely so the raid sort of scales to how many people you do have. That's an awesome feature. You're right though. Blizzard stated they combined lockouts so people didn't feel they had were obligated run 10 and 25 man, yet now they have three different difficulties to run that any serious raider will run for the tier bonuses/trinkets.
