Far Cry 3

Post by Crowley »

So has anyone bought this game yet? Been playing it since release some hours ago and it's pretty damn good. Love the crafting system, it works really well. So far I have about 7 hours in game, and it's amazing. Everything looks and works great. Opinions?

I know what you mean. Lately I've been spending all my time on this, Assassin's Creed 3, Black Ops 2 and watching Glee (don't judge me, it's really good)

I wouldn't be playing this if it didn't have a stealth element to it. I like it so far.

I've had this since it came out, haven't responded because I haven't been on the forums in probably over a month. Great game, though the skinning/crafting system is good... Right now it's useless for me, the only crafts I have left, are ones that need special skins from the Hunt Missions. So I skin stuff, just to sell their skins. Otherwise, the stealth system is fairly decent, and it's great fun trying to figure out a way to free a base without being detected. My favorite one had a tiger cage in it, the tiger freed the whole place for me, instant undetected, and no alarms without getting within 100M of the place. There better be more crafting to be had when I "unlock" the southern island, whenever that is. I've played so much, I'm amazed I haven't already had to go there yet.

It is actually so much better than Far Cry 2, I was so amazed! But for real this has to be one of the best games I have played this year (Halo 4 is now sitting in the corner)...

I've been playing it for a while and I just love it. Legitimate fear when you're crawling through the jungle and get bitten in the ass by a tiger or bear or leopard xD Saw this guy on youtube that was in the water when he looked to the left and he saw a shark coming his way, he nearly shat his pants xD

I love the stealth system too, Got a M700 silenced and a bow with red dot. Silenced skorpion for those close range encounters. (also have an ak but you can't silence it so I dont use it much).

As for the crafting you guys are right, it's nice but once you get the regular hides for all the pouches there is no use for them anymore.

I have no idea how far I am either. I got about half the north island on the map now. Did 3 or 4 radio towers only so far. And those outposts, I think I'm at like 5 of 34 so I have a long way to go xD

I just finished the game in less than 25 hours of gameplay. Owned all items except for one, unlocked all weapons and reached max levels (got all the tatoos), uncovered all areas and liberated all outposts with my girlfriend.

Didn't manage to collect all the Lost letters, Relics or Memory cards yet tho.
But the story was totally awesome. I rarely finish a game, so I really recommend it.

Wondering if you guys know any games similar? besides Just Cause 2.
Happy Killing.

Yeah, Vaas is very well made, great character. Jason however, not that great, but it didn't bother me much. The music was interesting and even though I don't like Skrillex, the weed burning part was awesome. The ending soundtrack was still the best one I think.
