Super hyped here, although I hope they don't go GoW-with-infected and throw some horror in it, but I guess one can't judge too much on a first announcement trailer.
Capcom did say RE6 would be a complete reboot, so we'll see how it turns out.

Read somewhere that Ada, Leon and Chris will be playable characters. Love how it's set before RE5 (Wesker please).
Like Leon's new look, not too enthusiastic about Chris' haircut.
Seen Rebecca in some of the shots, not very clear but if she still has the same uniform after all those years, it's probably her.
And OMG Ashley wtf are you doing in RE6. Please get lost. Or be someone else.
Whenever I played RE4 I wanted you to sit in a dumpster and leave you behind. I hated her stupid, whiny character.

I love how it's released this year. I honestly expected it to take years, and until November we get RE: Revelations (Demo out yesterday and it's great, less action oriented and more survival horror) and Operation Raccoon City to kill time with.

I platinumed RE5 with a friend online, the co-op was really great. Only down point was that we platinumed it in a couple of playing sessions, maybe 10 max. So I hope it has a greater longevity than RE5.

Found little bits of info:

• RE6 takes place 10 years after the Raccoon City incident, meaning it could be between September 2008 and August 2009.
• The woman who is with Leon is named Helena Harper, also an U.S. government agent.
• Chris is in China on a mission of his own. Apparently, RE6 will take place in the US and China at the same time. I'm guessing that while playing the game, you'll switch between characters and locations as you progress.
• Zombies will return, rather than the infected we've seen in the last few games.
• The regenerating monster (as Chris mentions) is called J'avo.
• Besides Chris and Leon, there'll be a new playable character, yet to be revealed. (Wondering if that could be the scarred mercenary Ashley is hanging out with.
• The man telling Chris that his personal vendetta isn't getting them anywhere is Beards Nevence, also a member of the BSAA (NA).
• Since Ingrid Hunnigan showed up in the trailer, I'm guessing she'll help Leon with information like in RE4.
• Rumours mention Ada having her own story which can be unlocked after finishing the game.
• Coop mode is still unconfirmed.
• Several infected have multiple eyes (Javo among them), so there might be a new virus. I wonder if it could be related to a spider, combining that fact with the spiderweb look of the logo.

And the Ashley look a like is probably Ashley. Since President Daddy sent poor Leon out to save his daughter Ashley in RE4, I'm guessing the reason she's gracing us with her ever-annoying presence is because the President in the trailer is her father, so she might be after whoever got him infected.
I honestly don't know how she's going to do that. In RE4 she couldn't even raise a ladder by herself.

I saw this awhile ago, and im looking forward to it. I like the four player multiplayer and most of all, ZOMBIES which are way cooler than the infected.

I will probably end up getting it when its released for PC ( which will be "later" than the consoles ) and I do hope theres a larger PC community than RE5, which is pretty much dead nowadays.

I'm getting it for both the 360 and the PC. Latter more for modding purpose.
Hope they won't make another Versus like multiplayer. Mercenaries, on the other hand, is always fun.

Which makes sense. In RE2, Sherry Brat was implanted with a G-embryo and taken into government custody.
She was 10~12 at that time so she would be in her 20s.
Wesker did have some insiders but I don't recall reading he kidnapped her or anything,
so I assume she was always in the hands of the government.

So I guess we'll find out. I'm not really convinced by IGN's statement, but story wise it could be plausible.
And both of them were whiny brats anyway, though Sherry kind of had an excuse because she was still a kid.
I swear if I have to hang out with Ashley I'll throw her in the first container I run into.

As much as i loved RE5 and it's co-op feature, I hope it goes back to 1 player campaign. Playing with 2 characters on your screen gets rid of the "scary" factor imo.
Started playing RE4 again and i just saved ashley...her annoyance is all coming back to me now

I felt sorry for Leon whenever she opened her mouth.

The only way to make her somewhat less useless is to give her the Knight Suit. When enemies pick her up to carry her away they'll fall over and get crushed to death by the weight of the suit.

According to the Operation Raccoon City FB page, the blonde woman is Ashley Graham.

The mercenary who's with her could be Alex Wesker, the 12th of 13 Wesker Children. The Wesker children were an advanced race of human beings 'created' by Oswell E. Spencer, head of Umbrella. They were injected with a prototype virus, but nearly all of them died right after, except for Alex and Albert Wesker.
While Albert had plans of his own, according to files in RE5's Lost in Nightmares, Alex served Ozwell E. Spencer for years, working on a way for Spencer to live forever. Apparently, he succeeded in finding the secret to immortality, but he took the information with him and disappeared.

I was thinking of it being possible since the Mercenary keeps injecting himself with something, just like Albert Wesker did in RE5.

Xbox Live Marketplace info mentions it's set in 2013 (could be true, Japanese statements mention 10-something years after RC), after the events of RE5, and mentions co-op and multiplayer.


According to the offical Twitter:

• The game has been in development for 2 years.
• There will be a demo.
• It's very, very likely there'll be coop. They pretty much confirmed it.
• "The control system has been overhauled", which might mean you can run and gun.

There was something I read about co op 2-6 players o.o Not sure what that's about, but it might mean a survival mode type thing?
I liked outbreak with 4 co op players online. It may not have been scary with more, but 4 people made it more fun.
