Looking for...
A sort of game,
5 years ago I played the game Lord Of The Rings: The Third Age (not sure if that's the correct translation), it was a game where you'd roam around a single person mode where you could loot and explore and from time to time and at specific locations you'd find a battle where your team would be ported in, well actually only 4 members of your team, but you would have more than 4, I believe when the game is completed you would have like 8 members in your party but only 4 of your choice would join the party. Now not only I enjoyed the levelling/skills/loot system, I REALLY enjoyed the fact that it was semi-co-op, on the roaming mode it'd be single player but on the battles there could be two players playing at the same time, which made it alot of fun.
So yeah wondering if anyone has played this game and could tell me if there's anything like this I can get for the pc or the xbox.
The other thing, I'm looking for a nice rpg, it can be an action rpg as long you level, get skills, weapons, armors, upgrades, etc. THAT you can play on co-op via LAN or any other way that I can play with my brother living in the same house as me using the same internet.
I think that's all...
tl;dr looking for a cool co-op game to play with my brother via two separate computers on the same house using the same internet and a game that resembles the game LOTR: The Third Age, got to check on the name though

Re: Looking for...
Well it's not LAN, but because I am really convinced it fits the bill I am going to suggest it anyways: Guild Wars.
You can play Guild Wars co-op with your brother. You kill shit, loot it, level up, get new skills, nice storyline.
To play co-op you just form a party and add the NPCs to the party so you don't need to bother with other players. If it's just the two of you playing it, it's almost like LAN if you play it like that.
Guild wars prophecies is probably cheap, around 10 euro. There's probably an option to just try it out as well.

Savage 2: A tortured soul
Its an amazing fps:rts:rpg game.
A little info about it:
You pick a side each side has 5 different playable types.
The commander can build like an rts, but cant make the characters since its the real life players.
Some classes can switch to an fps mode on one of there skills.
Its an amazing game and there are amazing mods.
http://www.savage2.com/en/player_stats.php?id=120694 thats my stats, i havent played it in along time i might start playing again :p.

heres a map i was making for the game, in early process.

GuildWars.
I own all 4 games, and trust me you won't get bored. Its the game I go back to everytime I get bored of an MMO. Basically its online like any other MMOs but once you leave a town/outpost or do a Mission the game will create an instanced world/zone just for you and your party
@Brago: Played Savage 2 not long ago.(Just because it was made by S2Games,creator of one of my fav game aka Heroes of Newerth
) and I'm suprised this game isn't as popular as it should of been. I love the maps(Hidden Valley I think?), its also pretty sweet how its an RTS and FPS.

GW, and indeed it's fun. Just got back into it 2 months ago after a few years break. Now I have all the campaigns too. :d

Re: Looking for...
If your going to play GuildWars buy Nightfall & Eye of the North first, the most active chapters. Sadly the community on it has kinda died, but with a Guild(clan) you won't have any trouble playing the game.
Here is GW biggest fan forum, and a really huge one.

Re: Looking for...
I have guild wars nightfall and factions, but sadly I'm not really into it :\ might try them again if my brother is up to it though.
oh and I forgot to mention that on lotr: third age the battles were turn based which adds some cool strategy to it.

I think Atlantica Online is turn-based

Re: Looking for...
Yeah gave a try at that one aswell, got to level 27 (pretty good imo) but then, just as most mmorpgs, once day I cba to run it, and then I start loosing interest and end up uninstalling. I'll certainly have to give another try at that game though.
