I'm d/ling it right now.
3:46 into the video. It's designed so you put in more quarters. The game isn't hard, it's unbeatable without putting in more quarters. To overcome a hard game you normally need skill, and there's no skill in dying just so you can shoot the boss more before he kills you..again.

Remember, famous game =/= good game.
There are other parts where it looks like its impossible to not get hit, yet he got through it.
So what does everyone consider hard, and not cheap for this type of game? lol What exactly should the ai of the little ships that move accross the screen, or stay in 1 spot as you pass by do? They already move and shoot a ton of shots at you. Should they be dodging your attacks just before they get hit? coming up from behind you? Having powerups?
I bet if most played it they wouldn't be able to get as far as in the video, maybe not even in ultra, is that why its cheap? :d

Well Ultra/God mode must be unlocked. So the player had to beat normal first. Meaning it was their choice to use up quarters to play it a second round, knowing it was going to be super hard. Play the game, Normal mode isn't hard at all and I died maybe 3 times tops? I know a famous game doesn't mean it's good, just google this game, its nothing but good reviews and I'm playing it so I agree with all the good reviews.

Omega Pirate and Ridley were 10x harder then Metroid Prime for me lol

Metroid Prime wasn't easy though, just long and sorta boring.

Okay... but you've totally strayed from the argument of it being beatable on said mode. The point is the mode is unbeatable without having more tokens, lives or quarters (depending on how you see it). So no matter how good you are, how amazing your reflexes are, and how gamer you are..it's impossible to beat unless you put in more money.

Well if something is called "Ultra/God mode" in my mind that tells me it's gonna be freaking hard, thus making me not waste my quarters. The machine doesn't force you to put quarters in nor does it force you to play that mode.
Or you just wait until it comes out on a console/emulator. Emulators all over the net.
Well the video just showed it get beat lol. Sure it may have taken some lives and continues, but isnt that actually a good part of the gamme where if you die you can still continue?
