Got in the beta a few weeks ago, wasn't really that impressed by it...looked better than it is, for me anyway. The UI is just plain ugly for one. Feels like im working in some sort of CAD. Always loved SimCity...except Society, maybe if i gave it more time. But its not on my to do list.
I played it for a bit and I was slightly disappointed. >_<
Spoiler!
It looks exactly like City Life. It's like a copy. Interface, building style..
My main problem with this game: every building (so far) fills up a perfect square.
So no matter how you place your buildings, the edges always stand out and dominate the look of your city, making it look the same everywhere.
Complete zones look better, but just lack diversity to make them look unique and interesting. Tiles and gardens still fill up the square lots.
Remember Sim City 4? The buildings there filled up squares aswell, but there it blended it pretty smoothly on the neighbour's houses and buildings, aswell as having different size houses in zones, taking up different amounts of tiles. Here every low density home is exactly as big as the next one.
Maybe I'm being too harsh.
Transport seems to lack heavily. For now it's just some roads and highways I think.
I only had the chance to play for 1 hour so maybe things will change.
I was going to post screenshots but it's illegal I think, all beta info has to stay on the beta forums so it doesn't leak too much in the media
