silkroad is awesome and is in fact my fav game of all times, the only thing is lacking is a good company to run it as previously stated ( no progress on pservers either, I hope a "legit" alternative shows up one day. )

The skill system is ridiculous. Taking people a few months to FF is retarded. Especially with the lack of end game content, i dont really see the point.

Joymax seems to be trying to add more of that though. The 100 cap quests were more scenario like and some even have cut scenes and what not. Then with the roc update there will be more of that stuff to get to your final goal of going after roc. Many quests needed to be allowed into the dungeon. So maybe they haven't done as well as other games, but at least they seem to be putting up an effort now.

Bad Customer Support
Hard to get lvl, and/or farmed
Loads of bots, afk players.
Need to get stuff with real money for being strong...

Silkroad has good movement animations and killing monsters feels really fluent. The sp farming system is stupid but the character building system is good (most players don't even make full use of its character building system). You aren't going to find a game with animations as good as silkroad but you will find a ton with better gameplay.

id also try Atlantica, its more Final Fantasy type tho
Requim, awesome but not many ppl play and the downloads slow
or just suck it up and buy a silver prem, i think its worth it.
