So this is how they are going to keep the halo games alive, interesting.
Also, since you guys have gone way deeper into the halo series with their books, is it true that at the end of the Halo3 gameplay, at the very end, when they show MasterChief waking up in the ship, the planet looking thing is "Marathon"?
Im just wondering, I heard that somewhere and I thought thats another way to keep the game alive

Even though there are alot of links between marathon and halo i believe bungie have said before that they are sperate. I believe there is a marathon logo on the planet somewhere but the marathon logo is on alot of other things aswell, its kind of like viral marketing, it dosnt really mean anything (heres a list of all the refrences to marathon in halo games n whatnot). The books dont really give any clues about the planet/thing they are driffting towards is. People speculated it was the planet Onyx but thats been disproved.

I believe all the ones that were alive would have all been on onyx at the time aswell. Master cheif was pretty much the only spartan who wasnt there at some point during that time.

I meant the SPARTAN III's not the SPARTAN II's.

Yes i know. when i said "master cheif was the only spartan who wasnt there" i was refering to all spartans as in IIs and IIIs
