I mean, im not going to buy it cause FFXII was perfect and this one looks retarded but still, this is such great news. Still waiting on that MGS4 port though....

This dosent Say Xbox360 but it could mean somthing else like the WII or DS

I knew the PS3 was going to fail. Nothing worth buying on it now. You can pretty get the exact games and more for cheaper on 360. MGS4? I want to play a game not an interactive movie....

Only thing Sony can really do to recover is announce that they have a FFVII remake in the works.

Not going to effect them too much. From what has been said it is only going to be released in N.A., and I think Euro. That means it's still exclusive to Playstation in Japan, which will move tons of consoles for Sony. Plus the fact PS3 still has Versus is good.

I don't see how XemnasXD argument holds up. If Final Fantasy X sold around 2mil+ in Japan, and the PS3 so far only selling around 2.5 million in Japan so far. I doubt that all the 2.5 million people in Japan are the only fans of FF games. Trust me on this, the sales of the PS3 will increase by 4X the normal weekly sales. FFXIII will do nothing at all in console sales seeing how Gears 2 will had already been released.

By the way do you think Sony would just let SE put FFXIII on 360 with out making a deal with them. You do know Sony owns some shares in SE. Wait tomorrow I can see a big announcement coming from SE. But who really cares I am much more hyped for Team ICO's new game and Gow3, and hopefully Twisted Metal announcement.

Also how do you feel about the casualness that is becoming Xbox 360? It's starting to look like the Wii lol.

...the xbox is doing fine, gears of war does not seem casual, its got great third party and first party support, with SE behind it, it can only do better...TBH i stopped reading when it was obvious you were a fanboy going off on a tangent....

just take the news and either ignore it or cry about it in a corner, but those are really your only options cause we all know this was a good move and huge blow to sony and i can almost guarantee sales in japan dramatically rise on FFXIII's release, i stand by what i said earlier....

I own a PS3. And for a second, just a second, PS3 was rising from the ashes.

I saw the XIII trailer before the new consoles came out (Or after? Can't remember.), and I was like "OMG I'm getting a PS3 for this game!"
When I heard about the price of the PS3, I abandoned the idea. A month ago I got an Xbox360.

Gears might not be casual but if you watched E3 you would of saw how Casual 360 is becoming it's pretty sad. People call PS3 an entertainment system, and not a console, well look at the 360. Half the Showcase was them showing live arcade games, and how you can watch videos on live. 360 has if anything the least first party support. Nintendo has the most then Playstation. oh yes, you alone saw it coming as you watched MS panic from your bedroom window thinking. "Ha-ha-ha ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, MS will most definitely capture the Final Fantasy franchise this year.

also i love how all the prequels of the games you mentioned haven't outsold Halo 3, i also love how 3 of them are first person shooters...and MS is afraid of these games because? lol. From Launch the PS3 has had three BIG talked about titles, titles that sell systems, not run-of the-mill FPS, not that halo was good, but i've never heard anyone say, I need a PS3 so i can play Killzone 2....Those titles btw are FFXIII, Gran Turismo 5, and MBS4. MGS4 came and went, FFXIII is going to the 360, all they have left is Gran Turismo 5.

Ppl seem to think MS went running to square but what Publisher nowadays has exclusive contracts. Sega, Capcom, Namco, Rockstar, all these big companies have gotten out of the habit of boxing themselves into a tiny corner because no one knew who was going to win this console war, no one expected the Wii to sell so much, or the PS3 to have such a failure of a launch(stfu sony even said it was a bad launch). Theres a reason why Bungie broke with MS, same reason why RE5 is coming to the 360 too, same reason why FFXIII is coming now....its the guarantee of more money. It was a good move by Square, MS didn't buy out Capcom for RE5, they couldn't hold onto their best selling franchise, but for some reason PS3 ppl think the only way this was possible is if MS paid far out the ass....has nothing to do with the way the console has been selling compared to the other 2 and the recent tend of Sony exclusives becoming multiplatform titles.....gimme a break.

I actually preferred the turnbased system that was FF. No idea why, I guess it gave uniqueness comparing to the usual "run in and kill everything as fast as possible" approach. I liked been able to strategize and plan my attacks :S

I can save myself 500 euro and upgrade my pc or buy a hd tv or something.

256 online organized multiplayer wars = epic. It's one of those things where when you see it put in action you can't help but get goosebumps and a boner.

And now we can rent and buy movies straight from the Playstation store. $2.99 ain't even that bad for a rental too.
