I'd get two Wiis instead of a PS3!

Wii wins instantly even though a PS3 is better because it has MGS4.(Truly one of the best games ever made.)

I'd go for the Wii, but that's ofcourse my personal taste. I just like the Wii-mote stuff (and mario games <3 ) over the ps3 uber graphics and shooters (I got a 360 for that).

But I also gotta agree with MrJoey that it's personal taste and that these topics are kinda useless...

Nobody purchases a console solely on gameplay. Remember the Dreamcast?

Anyway. I enjoy my original Xbox (although I hardly ever play it anymore, may donate it to charity) and my wife and I can agree that the Wii is a much more family-oriented gaming rig. Comparing it to a PS3 is silly. They're not even on the same level of graphics.

I really dislike that I can't display great HD graphics from the Wii, but that's not why I have it - I have a computer for that, and gaming is not my life (sadly!)

At the end of the day, it's preference. I'd buy a PS2 over a PS3, as long as it's that special DVD drive I remember

Spend 200 USD for Brawl, Zelda, Mario, and a new way to play games on consoles or spend about 400 or 500 USD for better graphics, blu-ray, MGS4, and, and...a new Final Fantasy?

I would probably have more fun with a PS3 than I do with my Wii, but because I can get pretty much the same experience on the PS3 for cheaper(Xbox360), I'll go with the Wii.

On a side note, for the price of a PS3 I can go Wii60 and enjoy all of Nintendo's games, innovative controls, good graphics, great online, and just about every game the PS3 gets and more.

Minus the fact that I don't own a PS3 or Wii - and before this generation I didn't fanboy any console and owned all of them.

But I take back what I said, and I wish to restate: PS3 hands down, anyone who argues otherwise is a fanboy and cannot be reasoned with; or, bought a wii and is trying to justify their purchase even though they know deep down inside that they regret not buying an xbox 360 or ps3.
