Re: Fable and Elder Scrolls
Elder scrolls was nice for a while.
But after you're immune to all magic and have 80'ish% on reflecting melee damage, the fun starts decreasing.

Morrowind was pretty good, but when you first start off it does kind of 'throw you in the deep', at least that was my experience with the game.
I'm not all that much into these kind of games though, so it might just be me.
The environments are great though, and the overall gameplay is sweet. It will last you for a pretty long time.
Oblivion is really good. Enough said there. Totally worth the buy.
Fable is a pretty nice game, but I can't tell too much about it, played it for a day or two, then my gfx card broke and never got to play it again since lol.

Fable might be good for a while, kinda fun but after some time it's just more of the same.
Code: Select all
This review might focus on the bad side of the game but if you don't mind about it then get it.
As for the Elder Scrolls... i've only played Morrowind and i hated it. Morrowind was lame. Ugly environments (in my opinion), weird monsters (the "wtf is that" feeling was bigger than the threat or fear that they are supposed to represent), bad combat (again, preference, i just hate madness clicking) and a story given to you almost entirely through text. When you talked to an NPC they'll give you a wall of text to read that is somewhat good but the lack of voice makes it dull.
My bad Morrowind experience made me avoid Oblivion even though i heard it was a bit different, however, after watching this i was convinced not to get it:

I still think the Gothic series (except Gothic 3) is the best RPG, mind you i haven't played ALL RPGs. Gothic was made for an European audience in mind, that's why the gameplay is a bit different from the USA's RPGs, and that's why it's a lot less popular.

Re: Fable and Elder Scrolls
Elder Scrolls was ok, but Oblivion still resides on my computer with a few mods (wilderness monsters are harder, autopot, magicka regain, etc)
It's one of the few 3d games that my laptop will play.
I played Fable with my daughter on the Xbox (original) and it was ok. I'm still playing Oblivion, just started over with a different character for grins.

If faith is a crutch, I'm not limping anymore.
