Debate on obvious false legits.

I write this thread because of all the hypocrisy displayed by so many srf members.
I don't care for whether people are banned. I only care about this because I see srf forums made out to be a joke by so many people.

Am I correct in thinking that people cannot be banned from silkroadforums because of what they say on other forums.

Because there are a lot of people from srf that have the same nick/avatar/sig in the rev6 forums and blatently boast about their many botting characters yet in srf act like legit angels.

sama98b is a perfect example:

This is just one example but most posts made by sama are about how he has 6 chars running at once taking up 6 slots on the server etc etc etc...

I don't even know sama... This is not a personal vendetta... I just don't understand how srf can allow this as it simply makes srf look like a joke.

Another thing I would like to add is some people in the srf forum who have completely obvious illegit characters.

Any legit player knows how hard it is to level characters from 1-40 as graduates in academy. But _Ragnarok_ has 141 graduates....

Well the burden of proof is to show that those ppl are indeed the same person. But I suspect many could be proved pretty conclusively. But in that respect SRF never said they would take action on that. For a long time it was don't ask don't tell. Which the kids took as silent endorsement that it was ok to do just not talk about. It used to be much much worse than it is now. Well more frustrating at least for those of us that really play. Enter their war on bots here at SRF. Initially I did not think much of it. But it really got a lot of people talking and finally started to make clear the real position. Which was if you do it you are gone if we find out for sure. But still even with that the info has to be on this forum. Either them admitting here or real proof in pics or videos. If you find it on those other forums post here for sure. But that is all you can do.

Hypocracy is rampant to be sure. Some are still so bold to talk about inappropriate behavior openly or harrasing those following the rules. The only thing you can do in cases like that is provide some opposition to their views unless a mod decides to step in and take action. They are in a tough spot though. Kinda damned if they do damned if they don't. We get upset that they don't ban everyone who flaunts rule/TOS breaking especially those that have a negative community impact. They use a heavy hand and ban at the slightest hint and they get called out as some sort of gestapo. Not an enviable situation. The game is full of selfish 12 year olds. Those of us that do/did play legitimatly and with a mind for the good of the community are a clear minority. The game is dead/dying because of the lack of people with a mind for the community.

All we can do is provide a voice against the hypocrites. If there is going to be a war on bots and the game is dying better to die on your feet than live on your knees. It is a rather thankless task and hard at times to keep civil in the face of astounding purposeful ignorance. But you can see it does work since they hate it so. That is at least some reward.

By the way, why is that you guys are so sure it's the same person by just having same nick / sig on 2 dif. forums?

So if I go to another forum, put same nick as you, and copy your sig and say "i bot" the guy gets banned here?

Ummm, sama was banned last month. I remember well because i was the one who banned him.

Hmm, we dont go out of our way to look for botting evidence on our members here. We dont search SRO related forums and try to find botters that also post at SRF. No. We opened EB for a reason. If you post evidence about a member and it is undoubtedly a botter, we wont ignore it, no matter where it came from.

The majority of the mod team doesn't actually play SRO anymore, so i dont see the reason why we would be at the rev6 forums, or any other SRO related forum. Its not that we've been turning a blind eye to it, its because we havent seen it at all..

We ban what we see here. If you've seen members posting about bots on other forums, why dont u make a topic about it here?

Why I bother saying this? Because I actually liked this comunity before it turned stupid.

Putting that in your sig of the forum you are posting at = FAIL
1.We never said that this war on bots would stop botters. We want to try for a legit community HERE. Not ingame, we cannot change things in SRO. Whoever thought we wanted to stop botters in-game.. is kinda retarded. The only people who can stop the botters are Joymax and the players themselves.
2. We try to get the remade accounts. And we usually do.

Why do i bother saying this? Because i hate the hypocrites that criticize this forum while they still post frequently. Seriously, if you dont like it here.. why are u still here? I think you can trust me on this one when i say, no one will miss you.
