Blackdragon6, that's what I was talking about. People that run gold bots use some kind of program, namely the one in the video, to log onto SRO. That program takes up a lot less memory than the normal game does. Because of that, the person can run many more copies of the program. Instead of 1 game that takes up 400 megs of ram, you can run 40 copies that take up 10 megs each (400 total).

Normal player bots can do that. They can run all of their gold bots, and also run their player bot on the normal client at the same time.

Our Graves you say? Quite the contrary my friend. We triumphed, we won the battle, and those who stuck to their guns can truly be happy, happy for believing in the things many, many deemed worthless and outdated. Guess what? Those who took a stand against overwhelming might can now rest on their thrones, and place our boots on our enemies, the botting population.

My opinion: ex-botters should be forgiven. most of rehabs are owned by ex-users or ppl who lived with junkies. somebody who used a drug is the best person to tell da others how bad it is. but only if its clear that the person really left da drugs.

same with us. hackers, ex-botters and other kind of cheaters could be used to let us learn more about it. how to fight, to trap, know their weakness and strenghts and how we can be better than 'em. not just turn this into a hypocrit place where all the "legits" judge themselves better than the "corrupts" or "cheaters".

There's definitely something to be said for this. I know most people seem to say 'once a botter always a botter' (or cheater, druggie, criminal...) but some people can definitely change.

It's great if you never touch the stuff to begin with, but if you're the type of person who bots for a while, then comes clean and turns around to lead a group of one of the most hardcore legit people, with no tolerance for cheaters... that has to say something. People can learn from their mistakes and turn around to be a huge contribution to the community in the end.
