Sly was said to have several level 80 accounts.
Deacon had two level 80s that I know of and was an 0x33 member.

An inactive level 39 (who has been 39 for 3-4 months), is sure the work of a botter. That totally makes sense.

You don't have to be botting to be on these ban lists. Theres several people up to date that have been using older clients / loaders / messing with pk2's that are on the bot ban list. It's lame.

Joymax isn't giving reasons for the bans.
all the bans just say your accounts blocked til july 2108.
it would be helpful if they gave reasons like they used to, but o well.

We know how Joymax describes their bans. There is always a reason in the bottom left corner, check my sig. Check my avy, hell check my account for yourself:

I rarely play, the game has lost its value. When I log in, I usually don't leave town. I try to log in right before ctf begins because thats the only PvP action I can expect from Venus at 3x.

Why dont you call joymax and ask for the reason? The least they can do is TELL you why you got banned.

Anyway, here's my post from SRA. Everything's been said here but for what it's worth:

Barotix played that char in Avalon ages ago. He got booted for inactivity and joined Asylum. He played regularly for a few weeks then went on hiatus. He logged into that char once in the last 3 months just to tell us he was coming back. He rerolled, Barotix was booted and the new char was joined. He played regularly on his new char but slowed down the last few weeks. Barotix was lvl 38 three months ago and it's level 38 today. The reason for his ban is <Punishment Description> which means he didn't fall into any category. He's been vocally critical of JoyMax in the past and posted emails between JoyMax and a Turkish silk vendor that implied JoyMax had knowledge that one of their silk vendors sold bots but JM didn't take swift action. I suspect that someone at JM was irked and it caught up to him. This is speculation because I haven't spoken to Barotix yet but botting is out of the question.

+1 at first I thought all the people complaining on the official forum that their account got banned for no reason were just lying but now I think that the system which detects the bots is bugged

Well that's just brilliant.

The ban can't for botting. The character has been dead for months. If they had evidence of it being botted, why would they wait until the 7th or 8th or w/e weekly bot ban? He logged into the char once after the new bans started so botting just doesn't make any sense.

Transferring gear and money in Sam? I'm not going to put anything past JoyMax but I can't believe Barotix transferred any gear or gold that would have raised questions. If you look at his equipped gear, it's not all that special.

I remember a few months back someone getting banned for their anti-JM posts on the official SRO site. IIRC, it was an account made strictly for posting and it was banned after a particularly vivid critique. Barotix has never hidden his disdain for JoyMax as a company so that sounds to most reasonable to me.

I can't tell you whether he bought gold or used a modded client but it seems extremely unlikely. Look at his gear and how often he plays.

My 1st account that i made got ban at lvl. 26, Silkroad is the 1st MMO i ever play. When i got ban I had never bought any silk or even knew what a goldbot,bot was. it was 100% legit and the reason for the ban was Illegal program rofl. it was low lvl. so i made a new one.

My points is even if you are 100% legit the is a VERY small chance u will get ban. i'm sure that Joymax does not "Investigate" all accounts before banning them. at least nonsilk ones perhaps.

just because your on a bot ban list does not mean your a bot. bot ban lists are people banned for everything other then chargeback.

illigal clients = bot ban
pk2 edit = bot ban
multi client = bot ban

all those are also bannable from srf.

but there are also things that are not bannable from srf. back in the day it was spawning monster scrolls. i know 3 people off the top of my head that got banned for that. i was one of them. all 3 showed up on the bot ban.

they could be banning outdated clients. i know alot of srf members use the old nodc client that joymax provided because it was legal on srf.

joymax is under new management. expect them to crack down on little things that you have gotten away with in the past. people who have those keyboards with macros built in should be carefull also.
