I just got on the boards today and MOD admitting to botting and now everyone is ripping him?

Vandango was a nice guy, botting is a temptation and some of us have fallen.

Guess we'll just have to move on.

This a legit forum. It was made for legits. The community should exist of legits. If someone isn't legit this isn't the place for them. Simple enough right?

Very true, but I still liked the forums before the retarded witch hunt. At least half the posts wasn't about going "+1" to raise post count or half the thread about the guy being a botter.

People are people and make mistakes of course. The main point is the next step we choose in my opinion, becoming a liar or admitting the mistake we've done.
If I abstract the "bot" thing in general (which is illegal, lame, etc) and I consider only the way how Vandango left I must say he was fair. Everyone can say counter-example, everyone remembers mod(s) who were so nice, friendly, cute blah-blah-blah on forum and were lame closet-botters in-game.

Our guild is 50/50 and around 45 of them bot, does that stop me talking to them? No. And call me a bot supporter if you like, there is a difference between supporting and simply not caring.

Avalon promotes their ideals, controlling the amass of posted media in a way. Continual posting about Avalon, strong enforcement that they are superior and all must join. Slowly people cave in, join venus and sra. They become more and more active on these 2 things, slowly ditch sro and watch it die. The less people we have the more than leave. Where do they turn? sra.

At the end of the day what does it achieve? Fly and nb with their own little minions running around, their shady pasts all but "rectified" and their insecurities disproved in their minds.

+1 to this. I dont see why people even need to say " oh its just a Farking bot it can go jump off a cliff." Its unneeded entirely. I can talk to botters if I want to, I can be friends with them if I want to. All u need to know is that I myself am not a user of third party programs. Thats it

Honestly, I judge people in game by who they are as a person.

If they let a bot play for them, that's fine. If they are a chill person to talk to, pvp with, or just hang around with, then they are fine with me.

there's a 96% chance the replacement will be a closet botter anyway.... just like 15 mods that's been exposed for botting whos been bannedbanned, some highly suspected of botting but here for lack of evidence, some banned by joymax, some went emo and started deleting posts when their friends got banned for botting that later turn out to bot and supplied the bot to Van, and Van been fighting the imulses for ages now torn apart, and let not forget some got banned by joymax in the BOT banlist and claim they are banned "for bashing Joymax" and is still a mod today
