Cleric or Bard sub for Wizard :P

hi

i started a new wiz on venus, and i was thinking of making it a wiz/cleric. but then i thought, wouldnt i have to solo a lot? because finding parties at low lvls is gonna be very hard. so i thought of taking bard instead. with bard, i would be able to solo on mobs who are agressive, and aggresive mobs seem to have higher spawn rates. also, moving march would help a lot (running away from champ/giant xD).

but i thought, wouldnt it be hard to find parties at higher lvls? cause alot of ppl are wiz's already, and a subbed bard wot be much needed.

about pvp with cleric. anyhow, i m gonna be 1 shotted, or maybe 2, so healing/ rd wont really work very good :\.

so should i get cleric or bard on my wiz?

I have a wiz cleric. If I could change it I would pick bard for MM and Noise. RD is nice but really does not beef you up enough to make a diff. If I am soloing in agro mobs I have to play cleric just so I can buff/heal myself enough to withstand the swarms. Noise would keep the swarmes off and still allow you to use wiz skills to kill faster. That's my thought anyway, I've never actully played a Wiz Bard so maybe they all wish they had gone cleric! lol

Well, you could always take a bard sub for just moving march and noise (the only two skills that transfer over) and then when you start getting regular parties, delvl the skills and start getting the cleric skills.

I would get Cleric as a sub for a Wizard. You can heal yourself, buff yourself, and bless when you are dying.

so like if im soloing with a wiz/cleric in a location with a high spawnrate, and aggroing mobs. so like, wont i get easily killed if a mob spawns right next to me? with bard/wiz, i wont get killed =/

noise does not prevent champs or giants far as i know

move speed = 90k for 50% for half an hour aka not that much

wiz cler here - i wouldnt trade my build for the world

took out a lvl 87 giant today with lvl 64 skills and gear

id like to see a wiz bard do that

fyi if you are grinding and you get swarmed as wiz/cleric ; cast cycle on yourself - that + rd will be enough for you to 2 hit aoe the swarm

(no one said you have to be in LC the whole time)

get a wolf btw - must have for a soloing wiz - get it to attack champs
and then kill the champ - you wont get touched; and itll deliver the final blow when you are out of lc so aka 1 hit ~.^

ya i have a lvl 18 wolf from my warlock .

the thing that is scaring me, is that i wont be able to fight in high populated places. because most high spawning mobs aggro, and me with not having a shield, i wont be able to live through a lot of mobs hitting me. fighting in less populated places will result in less mobs killed, meanig slower lvling

i dont know if you have been to the last nachel room before or not; but anyone who has can appreciate how PACKED that room is

anyway i have had no problem soloing there with them being 1 level over my own; giant? champ? w.e. everything died

idk i had a wiz/ bard before and loved it, moving march really helps thing i hate about my Foudre build (aside from the fact i'm still cursed heart farming) is no moving march = i move slow as hell, at least i can 1 or 2 hit what i find when i get there. well i can't say how good sub cleric is from experiance but i see it can take on giants with out hit and run so much with lc off and bless plus rd, foudre is geting there so i'll know soon but i have to say i really miss not having bard, but each have their pay offs i'm sure you're alredy aware of, depends on how you play wht you'd perfer. Hit and run favors sub bard, stand and fight favors cleric
