Good luck in whatever you do. But, ye, community sucks in sro big time. half don't know english, 40% of other half don't speak english very well, if they do it is broken, shitty, and probably something about your mother, and then finally we get to small part of people who are actually nice and great guys, for example, Asylum on Venus
Btw, maple story sucks

I'm seriously thinking about calling it quits too. Why? Because I'm of no use to anyone. I spent six hours yesterday trying to log on until I finally succeeded. Today I've been working on my computer all day and trying to log on at the same time. Eleven hours so far, no luck.

Now I understand why people use the no dc client.

Must take you a very long time to start up SRO.

No, it just takes like half a minute to get to the login screen. What do you mean? The server has been crowded all day. I've tried at least 20 times an hour, that's 11 x 20 = 220 times without being able to connect.

Bugger me, usually takes me around 20 attempts maybe to log on. Anything between around 10mins to an hour. You've got some bad luck.

use the rev6 server capacity stats. watch till it drops below full, then try. it usually doesn't take as long as just blindly guessing.

That's what I do. But when it never goes below 2499, you can't get it no matter what. For about 8 hours I didn't see it go under 2500 at all, it was always overcrowded.
Mind you, I'm not in the same time zone as most of you guys. If I get up in the middle of the night I can usually log on in under an hour.

I have been without premium all the time. Only time when I had to try over 1.3 hours were once after bot ban. I'm getting in 3-10 attempts, sometimes 20. Usually less than 15 min to log in.
I am +2 GMT so at my time I get online in 15 min between 12.00-12.30 PM and 3.00-4.00 PM. Sometimes even 6-8 PM in less than 30 min.

How? I just get disconnected time and time again. Like I said, about 200 times yesterday. There were never any open slots, not in 8 hours, except for the occasional drop to 2499 players of 2500 possible, but that slot was filled in less than a second because there were so many people trying to log on. Most of the time there were 2502-2507 players on the server.

I agree....yesterday was the worst day for me in a long time. I tried at 12pm -5 GMT for an hour and finally got in (but that was my lunch break so it was over when I got in....hello goodbye). From home yesterday evening, took about 45 minutes of constant disconnect/close game/restart/attempt/repeat.
With a couple of my guildmates in different time zones, we have played the "I log off you log in game" I get my log in screen up and ready, type the code and on vent he says when he is logging off 5....4....3.....2....1...go-------> I get right in. Now this makes me think, since I don't have a premium (yet) but a few of my guildmates do and from what I understand you get in first try everytime with premium (or that is the selling point)why not have them log out - coordinate it with me logging in and then of course they can just log back in first try. Hmmmmm sounds like a plan on those extremely busy days. Hey guildmates - who wants to be my log in buddy??
I foresee that the more Venus becomes known for its stance on bots and legitimacy, the more players will want to migrate over and start new characters = harder and harder to get in (not complaining about that too much because I would love to see them all come here) Hopefully in conjunction with that there will be a pushing out of botters who no longer can hack it.

I don't have any problem doing that if my PT is on and I'm not doing anything. I think if you have like 5-10 ppl doing it, you should have no problem logging in.
