Hello all, I'm new to SRF and pretty new to SRO too. I made a character about two years ago but lost interest quickly and abandoned the whole game. A short while ago I downloaded the SRO client again and made a rogue (not rouge!) character on Pluto and levelled him to 25 or so. Then I heard some rumours about a legit server called Venus. Took hours to login but I think it was worth it. I made a 1h warrior/warlock tank build, pretty happy with it but doesn't really deal any good damage.
Constantinople appears to be a ghost town, only a stall or two and a spambot... It's quite hard to find a low level party. Even harder when you're new to the server and know nobody. If you ever happen to need a low level (around 16 atm) tank in your party, please give me a shout. Preferably in Europe area because I hardly can afford teleport to China (yet). I'm usually on 8pm - 3pm silkroad time if I have free time and manage to login (I don't have premium, not paying to play a free-to-play game!). As a tank I prefer auto exp/item parties because due to my low damage I wouldn't get any exp nor items from exp/item distribution parties. My in game name is Felagund.

well there is a couple new guilds on venus that you may have a chance of getting in.

You guys forget that there are also 2 more guilds in the same Black Hand union

I do believe that Power need members also, at least last time i checked. (PM PowerfuII)

And of course best guild of all Asylum (PM Nogegon)

Sure they are ok guys, but if you go with them you wont' get the fun of going to fort wars and you wont' be apart of the greatest union ever. I recomend Hurricane we got tons of cool people and our average is still in the 30s so you can party with us. Besides Hurricane has this sweet banner thats not complete yet but i'm working on it.

We're having a great time in Asylum. The one drawback is trying to grind when you're laughing so hard. N1ght5h4de just joined and he's only going to make matters worse.

I'll need to restrict future membership to "boring, non-chatting, afk powerlevelers." Foudre, I know there are a bunch of those in Hurricane. Think you can spare some?

Thanks for the warm welcome and the replies, you're really making me feel wanted here considering I'm just a low level beginner (lvl 17½ now)
I will definately consider applying for some guild you've presented here, they look all very nice so I'll need to think about it.
I have also some questions regarding some terms used in-game: What powerleveling and taxi mean in practice? I know these should be in Questions section but why bother when I've got my own thread here?

Powerleveling means you join a share party with a higher level char and let them do the killing while you get the XP. You get the maximum XP if the mobs he is killing are 10-12 levels above yours.

Thanks for considering Asylum. What I recommend is giving us a shot for a week. If our personalities don't mesh, go join Hurricane. Chances are, if you have a good sense of humor and are (relatively) mature, you'll love Asylum. Hope to hear from you soon.

If Nogegon is not on, PM Dhilleux or Sanctified. One of them is usually on. Or like I said above, anyone from Asylum will join you.

Joining Venus certainly wasn't a bad idea, I already like it much, much better than Pluto even though I had to leave my dear little wolf there... I'll get a clone of him later though

Perhaps I should clone myself and send the other one to Hurricane so Asylum doesn't gain unfair advantage... hmm, now that I mentioned it - Could make another clone, send him to work so I could play more

I read Saokill's nice guide about 1h-Warrior/Warlock and the build really caught my interest.
