As usual, this is only the rumors I have heard, but it rings true...

NB and Fly both capped along with a few other people. After capping there wasn't as much to do, so they gradually got into other games. Leader of the union (whoever it was) left for Aion, others followed, the usual drama ensued. This was before botters got the fortress so it's really irrelevant.

Offtopic: NB and Fly drama has been over for some time, no need to bring it up again. Venus was a great place while it lasted, although I didn't play there much.

you're more or less completely off

people were quitting left and right for various reason but the feeling all around was that venus was no longer fun or at least the confed was no longer fun. Some joined bot guilds, some became botters, some quit mmos, some left for better games etc. Anyway enough people left so they didn't have the power to hold the fortress anymore. They didn't "call it quits like a pussy" as much as i despise them they did anything but that. They played this game for a long long time and when they lost the fortress i guess everything caught up with them and they realized the game was not worth playing, something most people realized awhile ago but i never said they were bright, thats what happens you squeeze a fist tighter and tighter, you let alot slip through your fingers...

NB and Fly never capped. They are both like 95 or so. They just gave up on SilkRoad. In fact, no confederation legit has made it to 100 yet on Venus.
