Venus Battle Bards [My Version]

I'm think instead of being Bard and Wizard like most Battle Bards. Wouldn't a Battle Bard with Cleric Sub be alot better for pvp without losing any effectiveness. Wizard in my opinion isn't useful as a compliment to Bard but rather a 2nd class the character can play as.
Please comment. (Especially Guardia, Zanthra, AngelEyes, Maggi, Mindmaker, Flow)

Yeah, I've been farming up Cleric for my Bard for pvp
But I only use it for bless/orbit/division

Im a bard / cleric myself. Im hardly capped but i find it to be pretty fun. Hot_Like_Hel is a bard / cleric i think, he'd be in his 60's somewhere. I think hes on srf too..

I've never thought of my masteries as one complementing the other. In a party I either take the role as a wizard or bard.
If you are into 1vs1, then wizard is not best suited as a 2nd mastery (I assume you don't want to give up bard).

Heh, actually I was thinking the exact same thing.
I was thinking of doing 2 subs instead of 1, like Bard main, 30 on wiz and 60 on cleric. 30 on wiz will give you invis, tele, earth barrier and stuff, and 60 on cleric's bless holy spell, RD etc would help a lot for ints.
I guess it's really just the whole Bard/Wiz combo is so over done, I wanted to try something different.

As a pure bard, I've put a lot of thought into a sub. Your right, the wizard sub, isn't complementary in a party, but the teleport I'm told is great in pvp. A cleric sub, is much more valuable in a party as the obvious reasons of emergency cleric, and it has obvious benefits for pvp. Of course when it comes down to it, I've decided to farm for a warlock sub, mainly b/c warlocks are fun, and I can think of some interesting things to do with it in pvp and it's not a popular build. I like taking builds out of the ordinary, that's why I started as pure bard.

The different with us (bard/wizard), we played both build. And both build is farmed. It's not our sub. We dont think about solo pvp as we'll always be in party. If you think solo as a bard, wizard is not the best sub because it dont have much to offer except teleport. On the other hand, our build is the best build for party play as we have the highest probability to get into a party and it is the best build to solo grind.
To sums it up :-
Solo pvp = not wizard (u're just like a pure bard if you gonna use bard to attack)
Solo pve = wizard is the best.
Group pvp = doesnt matter if you're gonna bard in the pt.
Group pve = same as above.
The 1 advantage i can see here with cleric sub is the ability to cast bless. But, if you have 2 bards in the pt. U're risking a couple of seconds without tambours and dance. It is important in a massive group pvp. Every seconds count.
