Yea so I am making all chinese characters on Venus

AND YES I DO KNOW that venus legits are mostly Euro but oh well, i love the chinese aspect
so hope to see you all on the server and I will level up high so i can get to where you guys are at!

any suggestions then?... maybe i wanst clear but I was gonna go hybrid with skills and everything u know light/fire and some force added in where necessary but like I want to know what you really suggest

So actually noone should do Chinese chars anymore and the only build in the game one might consider playing is a Warrior / Cleric?

T3DDY, tell me another build besides Warrior that further does not have Cleric as a subclass, that is, according to your feelings and defintion, is worth playing?

I think JM should remove all builds except warrior. All other builds are unworthy and have no right to exist. What an awesome game this would be without other builds ruining the fun by dying too easily.

-.- -.- -.- i'm talking from the perspective of someone who has a build that can pwn chinese builds... but my build isn't perfect, I can't fight most builds with cleric unless I had super uber hyper ultra gear -.- -.- -.-

And I use purificaton pills and then..?
EDIT: Stick to one build for now, or make a wizard and use it to power lvl up some chinese later.

just that....hybridizing. Hybrid spears (1:5 ish) and hybrid s/s (1:7) are harder to kill and still do pretty good damage. Glaive is a good build it kills quite a few builds. Bow is....eh idk maybe i've never pvp'd a bower that knows 100% what he's doing?

Bladers are deadly tho, hard to kill.

Still you are a Warrior. Is there any build that has an easy time to kill a warrior that knows what he's doing? I guess not, since Warriors simply are beasts at PvP. Thus you should not compare other builds with warriors when trying to determine their chances in PvP.

Actually, opinions on Chinese builds differ. I do not doubt 1:5 is an awesome ratio for Ints, still most will say 1:8 is the way to go. Also, when tending in the other direction - 1:2 can rape as to what I've heared. But you'll have to know well what you're doing with a build like that.

And this is the first time I heared anyone saying an S/S should hybridize, tbh.

Also being hard to kill is not the only factor that might be of importance to a player. I guess that's rather dependant on personal taste and ways of playing a char.

Expect Bows to become quite strong and damn annoying at 100 cap.

Bladers are hard to kill .. and have a hard time trying to kill almost any opponent as their damage is pretty low. On the other side you could do an Pure Int Spear. He is easy to kill and does huge damage, quite the opposite.

The Spear can still tank more than, for example a Wizzard, while doing sufficient damage to be compeatable. To some that might enough of a "hybridization" already. Would you tell a Wizzard to hybridize so he can tank more?

And yeah, Glaivers are cool. Venus' botters can't use them though. If you wanna see a strong Glaiver on Venus, you'll have to have a look at lower level regions.

Good chinese characters are very rare on Venus.

Yes sometimes a chinese can get overpowered completely by debuffs or by a warrior/cleric. But also you have to think of in a party setting. Give a chinese some good euro buffs, mix them in with euros in a party and they become much harder to take down. Have a chinese player who knows what they're doing with euro buffs, and you have a lot of trouble on your hands.

as a wizzard i'm more afraid of a bow then a glaiver or blader, i have time to react to the others the blader has to get up to me and the glaive moves are slower, a bow i barely got time to do a charged wind and they'll almost always one shot me life control or not (even blessed they still usually win out because they got knock back moves faster then mine, if i get the first shot in i still win, but in ctf its usually the bows and nukers that always get me)

but honestly thats all bow is good for. I see force bow 90 FF that cant kill a glaiver with decay and division on...

My suggestion if you don't want to make a Blader is go for a S/S Nuker. IMO it is the second best Chinese build out there, Blader being first. Balanced char for damage and defense makes it one of the better choices.

couldn't a pure int spear that truly knows what he's doing beat a blader and other builds?

Rogue/lock. fail build, trust me on that one you cant do shit all except 1v1, and if you had teh moniezzz to afford puri pills, then just stick them in your normal uni pill slot and spam them to your hearts content.

Yes, they can. But you have to keep in mind what happens with your weapon choice. Spear Gives you maximum power and HP but leaves you wide open, Sword gives you a shield to not only raise your defense quite a bit but can even completely block a hit.

A lot of it depends on each person's gear also though. Many don't realize what a big factor equipment plays in the game till later I dont think. I'd say just pick whatever you want to play and enjoy. Spend time learning the ins and outs of that character and what its limits are. Really spend time working on your equipment once you hit the higher levels where you'd prolly pvp more and take longer to grow out of it. Atleast all +3-4, best defense you can get on it, stamina, PARRRRY is huge to get as much of as you can which people forget about, STR/INT, and whatever else you can get on there. Everything helps.

spend time on your character and what equipment it uses, and you'll have a better time playing it and be more successful in what you fight.
