yea when this happened i didn't know what went down cause i was working most of the time plus was out cause of my graphics card burnt out on me, but i got most of it from both forums and aparently i'm still confused a bit, why is ninja allowing partying with bots anyways?

Yea, they're a botter, but if they're there to play, what's the harm?....You're still legit, in my eyes, even if you're playing legitly with a known botter...

and no, I'm not being pro-bot ....I'm tired of this legit vs bot thing ....partying with players that are there playing the game, while they might on their off time bot, I don't consider really being illegit.

I'm here to play a game to have fun; people do what they do as they see what's best for 'em....

Premise 1: Botting destroys games.

Premise 2: Bot use should be discouraged.

Premise 3: Partying with bots does not discourage bot use.

Conclusion 1: Refusing to party with bots will discourage bot use.

Conclusion 2: Fewer bots means games don't get destroyed (or they get destroyed more slowly).

My position has always been that if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Of course, we can throw our hands up and say fck it, this game is in the shitter as it is and no amount of effort will save it. That's fine, but thankfully Venus happened and there was another year of fun SRO gaming before it fell apart.

Venus went wrong (or right in some ppls eyes) when they started shoving pseudo-rules down everyones throats and everyone had to adhere to them or it became a matter that had to be taken up with a senate then receives a vote from elected officials that were chosen to to represent each Union by the their respective guilds so th- omg SRO is not Lord of the Flies, we weren't kids crying out for regulations and restrictions. It made a bad game worse for the people who just wanted to have fun without getting drawn into someone elses war against an unbeatable enemy. I dunno about you but Legits holding an ingame fortress didn't stop the goldbots to me and the botters are mostly 10-13 year old kids who don't speak english so i don't think we ruined their day either if its anything they're prove its that they have the attention span of gnats and are just as annoying.

My point is if you find yourself tripping and stumbling over pseudo-rules just to have a good time its probably not a game worth playing...or at least not worth playing with the people who support those rules...

agree, tibet SD was a good fun guild not to mention legit but i didnt force rules down peoples throughts i had bot friends, we partied together, did jobs together, ofc they wernt allowed in my guild but thats because i encouraged all my members not to bot, hell i tried to get these bot friends to drop the bots.

non the less saying if your not part of the solution your part of the problem, wars get started on that kind of statement, not partying with bots did **** all they can bot to cap for christs sake what difference does it make to them if we deny them?

the problem is playing sro quit, not quitting means your eventually gona bot or least start doing actions that we may not consider legit at this very moment

The rules weren't ever difficult for me to follow. And in return for "abiding" by them I got to meet some awesome people.

i understand everyones point of view but alot of ppl have thier own standards they follow, thier own ways of playing and enjoying the game, but it ruins the game when a person like me has never used a bot or third party program for any game, and then in this game i handgrind from lvl 1 to 35 on aege but then another player uses a bot to lvl to the same lvl in less time then i do, it gives a disavantage over me when he reaches it in less time, if the rules are part of the game even if they are not enforced then they should be followed, if you want to bot, then go to a game that allows it otherwise its always gonna be legit vs botting besides that i rather do the lvling by hand and enjoy gaining every lvl its the accmplishment of lvling up that a player should enjoy not gaining it so he can jump straight into pvping, imho those who bot are nothing more then noobs and does not want to enjoy the game to the full extent of the game and are not true gamers who enjoy playing a game for fun, everyone who plays a game online should show respect for all the other players around them and should not cheat, bot= cheating

Goldbots ruin the game by not letting anyone that isnt buying silk in. Player bots would just quit if they didnt bot becouse it takes way to long time to lvl up.
And you talk about enjoying the game to its fullest. Its not that fun to sit everday for several hours when you dont think its fun.

i'm talking about with friends and such, just lvling for the fun of it, pvp run around as a big team ruling half of dw or maybe hotan, everyone working as a team, its these that I think are truely the fullest of this game, other then that its different opinions to the idea of this game
