Trade runs help too I mean the game was designed around trading......It's really not hard to make money I don't even stall ever and have over 600m off trades and buying gear that I need to do my job in a party.

Back in the days during the 80 Cap while i was still in Alps.
Our guild had like 8 actives and we know each other so well that we had 100% trust.
Back then I hardly stall too. Items i got off grind are placed in GS.
2 of our guild mates will stall the items for the us. We were lucky to have them lol.
They don't lvl much... they like earning gold off the game.
So if i want an item for 700m, anything above that is their earn.
But most of the time he would just sold it at 700m and give me the gold back.
Those days were gone... I remember some1 stole 60m off GS 2 months b4 i left.
And we still don't know who did....

If anyone else in the pt had spoken up about wanting to roll on the item then i can see a clear violation of the rules but it sounds like gator, who couldn't even use the item was the only one going after it. Instead it ended up going to someone who could use it. It doesn't sound like that big a deal to me but jeez you guys just blew up over one drop huh...i think thats whats really sad.

Yes "got over it"....but we also still have friends, RL and ingame that are still playing here and I personally care a great deal about them. I still login (sorry so infrequently mom & team) and party with my Ninjas but rarely anyone outside of that guild.

So I see it like this. Two brother moved to a shiny new house in a new neighborhood and they were happy, the neighborhood changed and it became a daily chore and very oppressive to live there a sort of slum. One brother got extremely fed up and got over it and moved out of the neighborhood. The other brother stayed vowing he could make a difference or at least ignore the blight around him. The brother that moved away still loves the brother that stayed and visits him when he can. But otherwise, he communicates with him and monitors what is going on in the neighborhood and how it is affecting his brother.

So it is kind of like that....my ingame bro and sis are still here and I am monitoring what is going on in the neighborhood. As long as I have a character on Venus that I login with periodically and have friends here, I will come to these forums and I will be concerned about what happens and I will voice my opinon period.

Only reason I brought it up was to give another person kicked to the curb for some weird infraction to have another option than to hang around and take abuse. I wanted her to know that there was a place for her to play a game, where people still like her and enjoy actually play a game instead of following some virtual McCarthyism (look it up).

I'll keep coming here, and I'll keep giving an option to my friends that still play this game to come somewhere else where they might actually be treated well by those that play the game with them. I got a drop today during the raid. Most days this would be a good thing, a happy thing.

The drop was male LA feet, level 95. The drop occurred while we were still in the middle of fighting the 95 uniques and I didn't even know what exactly I had when _Gator started insisting on them being "rolled". I get very annoyed at being shouted at ... and I hate it when people consider drops more important than the party and what they are fighting at the moment. Please note I could have lied about getting the drop or what it was ... but I didn't.

Party members at the time were me(Taka-Wizard/Bard), _Gator(also Wizard/Bard), Malecka(Wizard/Bard), Queenjoa(Cleric/Wizard), Sanctified(Cleric/Warlock?), _Ace_(tank), and KSsske(spelling is wrongbut it is something like that and he is also a tank).

The rest of the party never stopped but went on to the B3 unique and killed it too. Gator kept on and on about how I couldn't use the LA and that he wanted it rolled. I have no idea why Gator wanted the LA so bad. Maybe to give to nightbloom or a friend? Who knows? There were lots of threats and stuff and I didn't want to give the drop to Gator so I logged out and switched characters and talked to Snowflake (my GM).

OK to the question.

Is it the new rules, since I have not been on Venus in a while, that you stop in the middle of fighting a mini unique to roll the item "RIGHT" then? or would it have been in better taste for Gator(my opinion of that douche is not needed here) to wait till mobs are dead, and then request a break to "discuss" the drop, rather than, what most consider yelling, yelling at yama?

I too am sort of curious about what Guardia's response will be. And if it is true that the drops must be rolled immediately while there is fighting still going on. Oh and make no mistake, I do understand how "rolling" works. I also have seen how it is applied. I object to how "rolling" is applied.

But my real reason for posting again is to let some of the people that posted know that I am ok. I am still in SuddenDeath and happy about that. The people in SD are nice and fun to be with. My ban from Avalon and Odyssey parties isn't as horrible as it might seem as I prefer an SD party anyways.

I am grateful for the invitation to play WoW and the idea of switching servers but real life is still unsettled and uncertain for me and thus at this time making a commitment to a new game or server not viable. Plus I would miss the people in SD. However I do also miss you guys from the earlier days and from BHA. And hey Angel Eyes I do know who Joe McCarthy was (I am from Wisconsin afterall) and that did make me smile. I think it is nice that you guys do check on Venus now and then. Finding out that you all seem to be doing ok and a bit about where you are now was great.

I was struggling to even find the item and _Gator was mad before I even had a chance to see what it was, I did say wait until everything was dead but that was not good enough in his eyes. And then I was yelled at and threatened by _Gator for wanting to wait and not wanting to hand the drop over to HIM. I still don't understand why I was expected to immediately hand the drop over to _Gator (so yes when Gator demanded I give the item to HIM, I said no that I was keeping it ... as in I was going to keep it and decide what to do with my drop instead of handing it over to Gator). Is _Gator like some server appointed "drop officier"? As far as I know he isn't. Plus I do think I had every right to feel threatened. You do know that both nightbloom and _Gator murdered me later that day and then teleported to Fortress right? I have to give _Gator credit for following through on a threat.

If rules are agreed on by guild leaders doesn't it make sense to consult with your guild leader in a bad situation? Snowflake can confirm that is what I did as soon as I logged off. _Gator isn't my GM, nightbloom isn't my GM, you aren't my GM. Snowflake is. We discussed what had happened and I had the drop passed on to Queenjoa (someone from the party that uses LA and that was in the party) within minutes of logging back in. So the whole nightbloom/_Gator murder thing which happened hours later was all pretty pointless if it was meant to get me to drop the item. Hopefully it made them feel better at leaast.

My personal experiance has NOT been that Avalon wants everyone fairly equipped. My experiance has been that they want their friends extremely well equipped and everyone else gets to scrape by as best they can. It is silly to think that Avalon is about fairness or community, when its leaders have even pointed out a number of times that it is not about those things. Avalon is about power and winning "against the bots" and they handle both those things extremely and admirably well. I would think that you would understand that by now Corrupt. I do.

And so now there are consequences and I understand that also.
