2ndly how do we have a single "political party" "controlling" us? we dont. we all have different opinions on what should and shouldnt b considered legit, but we do agree on a lot of things like bots, loaders, and bot plvls. all of which have been talked over repeatedly on how best we should take action on those who take part in them. needless to say - we kick them out just like a regular legit guild/union on another server would. the difference is we keep a list of past offenders so they dont get back into another legit guild/union

and as i recall on xian there were quite a few ppl u did not allow in Kokiri even though u couldnt prove they botted. basically any1 50+ that isnt in a whitelisted guild or any1 that is in an unlisted guild/union emblem is considered a bot by us, because we dont like the odds of some1 getting to 50 legitly after having that much contact with ppl that do those things previously mentioned. and if u still played u wouldnt ither.

Everyone has a choice. They're just presenting an option that'll make it easier on you and your guild in Venus. Though, of course, you do not need to "whitelist" your guild, again, your choice, but don't expect a welcome with open arms, either.

Whitelisting the guild doesn't mean you're joining the Confed, it simply lets the other legits know that that guild's legit.

To be legit, you just have to follow the rules (don't bot, get bot plvl, buy gold etc.). To be a part of legit community on Venus you have to follow the rules and register - because it is a closed club. Access with membership only.
Venus is how it is thanks to confederation members efforts. If you want to benefit from it by joining the community they founded, but don't want to follow their rules, then GTFO.

I believe in the rules it says that anyone can party with anyone they wish to under the level 50, assuming they have no union tags and aren't obviously botting.

It seems, no matter what anyone says, your opinions are already set and there is no amount of factual evidence that will change them. I have read your posts on this thread, and the ones in the "Calling All Legits" thread on the GD, and I can honestly say that you need to open your eyes to your own hypocrisy. You ask that everyone be able to play the game the way they choose to, then blindly tell people on and off of Venus that the way the Confederation plays the game is incorrect.

You have also said repeatedly that we do not have control over the server, that it is not ours; that is correct. We don't own it, we don't control economy, we don't control the people, and we certainly are not a totalitarian state dominated by a single person. I'm sure you will argue with the fact that I said we don't control people because that is what you believe we do, but in truth, as stated by Ningyotsukai-san, we are just presenting the people that join Venus an option. Once within the Confederation, they still have the choice of following the rules of the individual guilds, or being booted from them. That is no different then the guilds of other servers, but I don't see you condemning people on Mars for kicking people because they didn't follow guild rules/guidelines.

It comes down to this, or at least from my perspective it does; your posts and opinions are simply based off a past conflict between you/Jackal and nightbloom/Fly. Your views are obviously different than theirs, and that is understandable, but you should remember that you are trying to force your way of gaming onto a group of people that enjoy gaming the way we already do. Your posts are far more control oriented than those made by most of the Confederation members left on SRF, and I would appreciate it if you took a step back and would rethink your two-faced position. Right. Absolutely. Every legit in this game agrees with you 100%. In a perfect world, there aren't any cheaters. In an almost perfect world, there are cheaters but JoyMax bans them. Guess what? We live in a far-from-perfect world in which JoyMax doesn't do shit to get rid of cheaters.

Most of the legits on Venus played on other servers. They know the result of ambivalence. I'd wager that, if it weren't for Venus, 95% of the legits playing there would have quit this game entirely. The only reason why they keep playing is because its as close as we can come to being a supportive environment for legits. And its that way because of the policies of the confederation, most important of which is the whitelist.

So you can continue to lament and complain about the fact that legits need to sign up on a list in order to identify each other as legits. Which, by the way, is an unbelievably naive opinion to hold. Or you can understand that, when you have cheaters and a company not willing to do shit about it, its a necessary evil in order for legits to continue playing a game they enjoy.

The whitelist isn't the problem. Its the solution. Cheaters and JoyMax's response is the problem. Have a better solution than the whitelist? We'd love to hear it.

We allowed plenty of ppl we didn't know in Kokiri, we simply watched them, we might not of let suspicious ppl in, but not all, and we didn't call them a botter or tell them to leave when we didn't let them join.

Who decides everyone over lvl 50 is a bot? I thought Venus the biggest legit community, you guys throw so much stuff about venus is so great for legits oh come to venus, yet you got all these rules and assume everyone who isn't a part of your little community inside Venus(yes inside venus, it's not venus, it's just like the other server) is a bot.

Aside from flys recent posts, most of what Sacch sees mesed up about it has come from posts and topics here from or about venus, actually.

Having played on venus since it opened both as part of the confederation and solo I can honestly say that it is not a positive structure and its rules are equally harmful for legits as they are helpful.
The confederations two lead guilds Avalon and SD have both changed their rules to fit in with the new confederation outlook as to what a legit should be. So you are following a group of people who were not legit enough to fit in with what you now consider to be legit. The leaders of both guilds have been involved in things that the confederation would consider to be illegal or that go against the TOS of Joymax. But luckily the rules of the confederation mean that they are not punishable because it happened in the past or on a different server. The simple fact is that there are alot of exbots in the confederation... most of which will probably still be running their exbots on different servers while they play on Venus. But this is also not punishable because it is related to a different server.
The fact that somebody has to register their presence and ask for permission to get on and play the game is pathetic and stupid. It does nothing but show the god complex that is found within many of the "leaders" of the confederation. You belive that you are better than other peopel simply because you have a reputation... most of which is earned through a forum that has little or no relation to ones ingame ability.
The fact that you would happily steal items from bots shows your mentality, some how you still belive that two wrongs make a right. I have a 4 year old cousin who understand this concept but a bunch of adults seem to still be lacking in this basic logic.
I also do not understand why you force people who have leveled over 50 to reroll, just because 99% of the confederation cannot level by themselves past 50 does not mean that you have to bot to do it... it would take any knowledgeable player 2-3 weeks to get to 60 as a chinese. If they are anything like me they would probably not pay much attention to what is going on in the server when they first join, and simply go about playing the game... but then when they reach 60 or 64 and start looking for a nice legit guild to join they find that they are not allowed to because they are "botters". Do you really think that is a positive message to give out... so some self reliance and free thinking, do something on your own and you are punished.
The confederation is a dictatorship, if you choose to believe that anything you say matters that is your decision but you are wrong in that thought. You voice only matters if it is in support of the way its leaders want to go, if it is not then it doesnt matter and will be disregarded or shouted over. Most of you will be viewed as expendable and others will be treated as special receiving treatments that most would never even see.
The most important thing that you guys must remember is that you are so happy to label people as botters but labeling people as legits is seemingly so hard for you that you make people jump through hoops that you designed. Somebody can follow the actual rules of the game to the letter but they will still be called a bot by the confederation.

The most important thing that you guys must remember is that you are so happy to label people as botters but labeling people as legits is seemingly so hard for you that you make people jump through hoops that you designed. Somebody can follow the actual rules of the game to the letter but they will still be called a bot by the confederation.

So perhaps the people that are so quick to jump to the defence of the confederation... most of which have spent less time there than I did should step back and open the blinkers that they look through. Then perhaps you will see what you are forced to do inorder to be able to happily play on Venus. You talk like it is some sort of Eutopia when in actual fact is is more like a future prison state were you are forced to walk a fine line and live by rules throught up by the few and used to govern the many.
