Tips to avoid having your Silkroad account hacked

Since my account got hacked about a month ago I've been very paranoid about this. I've realised to prevent myself from being hacked again I needed to first work out how a Silkroad account can be hacked, and then work out ways to prevent this from happening. I thought I should share this since I know of at least 3 people that have been hacked now and it shouldn't be happening. I'm not saying you still can't be hacked if you do all of this, there may still be other ways, but this should help greatly if you follow these prevention measures.

1.
Method: Hacker somehow infects your computer with a Keylogger/Virus and obtains your password this way.
Prevention: Never use botting software or even unknown software as they can contain Keyloggers/Viruses.
Run a firewall to prevent a hacker obtaining access to your computer.
Run up to date antivirus software and scan regularly.

2.
Method: Hacker uses a brute force password cracker on your account to obtain your password.
Prevention: Use a character name thats different to your login username, This way the hacker doesn't know your account name to start with.
Use a hard to crack password (I reccomend at least 10 characters containing both letters and numbers).

3.
Method: Hacker uses Silkroad Change Password form to change your password and therefore take over your account. To do this the hacke needs your account name, email address and able to answer your reminder question. The first 4 letters of your account name can also be obtained if they know your full name and email address. (I believe this is how my account was taken over).
Prevention: Use a character name thats different to your login username, This way the hacker doesn't know your account name to start with.
Do not use your regular email address, its a good idea to set up a different completely random email address just for silkroad.
Do not use your real name.
Set your reminder question/answer as something that no one else will know the answer to.

you have to be logged out of your account. Then you will see the "Forgot your ID or PW?" link at the top of the page.. click on that and you can change your password.
